Are they?
I've had lots of Masterplug reels (as they keep being on offer), but all of them have had poor "wind-ability".
Now, I haven't tried any other brands recently but being able to turn the reel to wind the cable is a pretty important criteria, surely?
About the best I have for winding is this external one with RCD although the part which was meant to stop the cable coming out at then - a sort of rubber ball thing with a slot through it - had come loose on that so I had to fix that. That reel is over 10 years old though.
