Great fan at a good price

Added by cyberbabenilorac

Following the success of the multi-award winning MeacoFan 1056, Meaco launched its MeacoFan 1056P adjustable pedestal fan.

Adapted to have all the benefits and features of the award-winning desk-top into a stable and stylish pedestal fan that can be moved around and cool your room without taking up space on your table. Its super-quiet feature means, similar to the original 1056, means your room will be circulated and cooled down efficiently and effectively without disturbing you. Its fan head moves in every direction - up, down and side to side - to give your whole room a pleasant breeze and bounce the air off the walls and ceiling instead of directly at you. It can be an ideal addition to an annexe office space, conservatory or home gym, the pedestal fan is a perfect option for a room that heats up quickly.

Popular for its near-silent operation, the MeacoFan can be used anywhere for whatever you're doing, you don't need to worry about the noise bothering you. It comes with a magnetic remote control which makes it easy to operate at the touch of a button and attaches easily to the fan.

With 4 modes of operation, the MeacoFan 1056P puts you in control of your room:

  • Normal – with the fan speed setting from 1-12, it gives a constant airflow
  • Natural – the airflow is between weak and strong, to recreate that natural breeze
  • Sleep – Every 30 minutes the fan speed will decrease by one level until it reaches level 1
  • ECO – The fan speed changes depending on the changing temperature in your room.

Its ECO mode will have the fan changing speed accordingly to the temperature of the room, making sure that no unnecessary excess energy it used. With a timer function, the fan will turn itself off so that you can have a peaceful night's sleep in a bedroom that's nice and cool. The night light feature is perfect for those who enjoy a dim light in the bedroom or for your child's room.

Air circulator? There must be an identity crisis here. Posh Fan perhaps.

The irony is it's scam marketing. People assume an "air circulator" is somehow different technology, better than a fan and moves more air. In reality this moves and circulates way less air than other fans on the market if you actually look at the figures. It's just a mediocre fan. All fans are air circulators. It's crazy to me how they are duping the public (edited)

I’ve been using this every night for over a year, it’s brilliant! I can’t sleep with out a fan with the white noise, this perfect on just 4/5 setting, if it ever breaks I’m buying another straight away

becuase of the brushless motor you shouldn’t ever have the dreaded squeak or rattle a normal fan has after a while

Sorry apparently these have that exact issue after an year or so.. it rattled so bad

People hate on these for the price, but it moves a lot off air for the noise it makes are easy to clean as well tried a few different brands and while pricey it's the best others are alot more nosiey (edited)

Please see the John Lewis store labels, reference dB levels. Albeit this is the 1065P model. The 1065 desktop: a 20 noise level. The 1065P: 60 dB.

Each is low energy usage @26W and 23W respectively. (edited)

How does this compare with the John Lewis brand Spectrum circulator fan, apart from this one able to adjust height more?

Great fan well worth it for the money, on its quietest settings it's barely audible and you still get a good amount of air circulation. There's no noise or power difference between the desktop and pedestal except that the pedestal has some additional modes. Recommended!
