This is a great, unique set. The movement/animation is really cool. However, be warned. This isn’t an easy set for kids. It’s quite fiddly and intricate to build, plus Mega blocks are much tighter and more painful on the fingers to manipulate. But worth it in the end

Bought for a my 8 year old son a couple of weeks ago for his birthday.

He's halfway through the build on his own. Movement and base complete. Quality matches Lego and manual/instructions just as good. Was sceptical but very impressed.

Looks like a fun long build. 👌🏻 🏻

Built this myself after getting it at Smyths a few months ago for this price.

It's a wonderful kit, lots of stages, a long build. I wouldn't say it's for younger kids, it's fiddly, but it's satisfying, and the end result can easily stand against Lego imo

Got it at Smyths some time ago.
About 9h it took me to build.
Wouldn’t say it’s for kids either as mechanism is tricky to build.

Depends on who's building it I'd say. States as 12+. My son does a lot of Lego and built the mechanism and chain himself at 8. Probably 3hrs in maybe and half way through the bags. (edited)

That's cheap! I got it for £55 for my son and thought that was decent.

Looking at the Gyarados now but that's around £60
