Bought these a few years ago, great price. Although note that the track on the bottom whistles when diving above ~30mph. I ended up running a length on tape to cover it.

This listing on Amazon for the Menabo Brio (which I believe this is) gives more detail and suggests a minimum gap of 2cm between roof rail and roof.

It also lists some car models. I cannot guarantee this is exactly the same roof bar from Menobo.

Me to, the price for "no gap" Rails is crazy, Luckily I have some on long term temporary loan off my sister while I hunt down some reasonable price one's for my Mokka, think I'll get a new car before I find some though..

I think the Menabo Brio is for raised not flush roof rails. Good offer if they are suitable

That's good advice. What kind of tape did you use?

Nothing special. Silver cloth / duct tape, but also used clear parcel tape. Just something that didn't stand out.
Tip, fit bars first, then mark bars for the gap, then take bars of to fit the tape unless you can manage to fit tape when bars are on. Another alternative would be to use some rubber trim in the track as a more aesthetically finish.

Got these a few years ago and have used them with two generations of Skoda Octavia estates. They have served us very well and are still going strong. Ours have a removable rubber fitting in the top to allow use of Thule quick fit bike racks and the like, and fit perfectly in the roof bar holder under the boot floor of our Octavia Mk3 when not in use. These arrived in store (at least, our local store) last night. Just bought a set. Look OK, though I can see why it would whistle and why taping over the groove on the underside is necessary.

Yes, they fit my BMW 3 series touring (e91). Bought a set a couple of years ago and they look identical.

Lidl don't deliver at this time like Aldi do (which is a real shame) so only ever in store. Good question!

I've updated the deal to reflect this (edited)

They won't fit an F30 or F31. Go on ebay and search for summit roof bars. Around £87 and they're aero bars. Less wind noise.

true - which makes me think its a case of inconsistent stock levels and so they have withheld it for a later sale perhaps, when the rest of the stock arrives. So rather than having only some stores have it they have removed the ad for it entirely.

Perhaps the stores that do have it will continue to stock and sell it.

Picked some up today from my local Lidl this morning. Pretty pleased. Solid enough and being silver they look far better than similar priced cheap black ones off eBay.

They're definitely not Thule quality - but if you don't intend to put them on and take them off every week they're ideal. As someone said they're the Brio model. (edited)

Think they'll fit any rails that have gap under to be honest. The grippers that grip the rails slant diagonally so the rails may need to as well to some extent.

apparently a bit of tape underneath can fix the climaxing. Not sure about the whistling though.

Despite being listed as an entirely different manufacturer (Hardcastle) the one you have linked to does look identical to the Lidl Menabo one.

Though interestingly the weight rating is only 60kg for the one you've linked to on Amazon versus 90kg for the Lidl one. Weird, I don't get it.

    Thanks for the link

how do these bars fit so many cars? is the with of the bars between cars some standard width, or are the bars themselves adjustable to suit multiple widths?

Looking to fit to a mk2 Tiguan.

Well...after all that, Lidl has without explanation pulled this product from their website and it doesn't feature in this week's middle of Lidl deal any more.

Perhaps the stock didn't arrive in the country on time.
