The adidas Terrex Techrock RAIN.RDY Trousers are designed to meet the technical demands of mountaineering, no matter how challenging the terrain. Crafted with nylon, they feature a hybrid of 2.5 and 3-layer fabric with PRIMEKNIT for an unrestricted feel, ensuring climbers can move with ease and tackle any obstacle. With a belted waist and low-profile snap fly, these trousers offer a secure fit. RAIN.RDY technology seals out wind and water, keeping adventurers dry in unpredictable weather. The zip hand pockets and side zip pockets are accessible through a climbing harness and have moulded easy grab-zipper pulls, allowing for easy access to essentials on the go. The low-profile cuffs with silicone grip elastane and a lace hook allow for a secure fit over mountaineering boots. To complete the design, the iconic 3-Stripes and adidas logo feature in a reflective detail that offers visibility when you are moving in the mountains. Composition: 87% Nylon, 13% Elastane. Machine washable, follow care instructions.

I ordered at the weekend as a bit of an impulse purchase and they arrived today. Looks wise yes perhaps a bit of an acquired taste but for hill or general outdoor duties i think they are ok. My wife did say i looked like the scene in Dumb and Dumber when they are in ski gear handing out $$$ outside the hotel, so that's a benchmark. If you haven't seen that film hang your head in shame and go watch it.

The fabric does have what looks like the shadow of the terrex logo jumbled up running through them, almost like a camo finish (in addition to the twill effect visible) but its very subtle. It doesn't sound good but honestly not too bad for outdoor use and the burgundy is nice deep oxblood style. i like them.

I ordered L (now OOS) which came in with a 36 waist. I'd say that's slightly on the slim side, but actually fitted quite nicely at the waist. Not much scope for filling the pockets though, but again with outdoor use i wouldn't expect to have the pockets full. Leg length was long, almost too long, but i prefer that to too short. Good knee articulation and not too tight around the thigh. The elasticated gripper and lace catch at the bottom are decent touches and the trousers have a nice solid button fasten and the belt doesn't interfere with trouser opening, which is quite clever. The fabric does have a slight "feel" to it as if you can tell its proofed somehow, but i think that will soften a bit with a wash / use.

All in I'm happy for £25 + postage. Not sure if I'd have paid too much more for them though. (edited)

so, if you were down the pub wearing them, you would look a bit of a plank?

This is the genuine RRP from Adidas.
That is the price they are at the start of the season. They may well be reduced as much as 50% so down to £125 so I genuinely think these are a good price when considering these.

I don't know a huge amount about weather / waterproof trousers so don't know exactly where they compare to other brands in terms of been basic or premium but I'm pretty sure £30 delivered is a good price.

But then it wouldn't be 90% off.

Cheapo prices for Mike Ashley stores, you'd have to question the quality at this price point in comparison to the range sold by Adidas

Know they are the same items as from Adidas. This a lost leaders to draw you to the site.

This isn't a Mike Ashley Brand / or a range specifically designed for Sport Direct.

They will likely be surplus stock.

You don't need question the quality they're not B Wear as sold in the outlets as they would have to be marked as such and listed as B wear.

Can anyone find them on the Adidas website? Sports Direct sizing recommends size S for waist 30-32 and that's normally M and I don't think I have any clothing in S. But if they run large then it would make some sense.

I think they are last years stock, hence the price drop and not being on adidas site now. Shame as no reviews on sizing for these, so am giving them a miss - oh and no free returns.
