Shocks me this stuff is that expensive, only time I ever bought it was at Debenhams when they reduced it to £4.50, I cleared the shelf cos I needed a daily, it's worth £4.50 and that's it. For your money go grab some Joop on Amazon.

To my nose this is like a unisex fragrance IMHO. I am guessing that this is for under 20s. Heat for the price

So if I wear this I'll pick up all the cougars?

absolutely a vintage classic. takes me to 2001 in a good way. this is 26 years old this year.

Is it just me or does this smell like your youth too? (lol)

If they fit you then great pair of jeans for the money....only they're much narrower than 511's - more like skinny fit. Took a chance and bought same size as my 511's but will now send to charity shop

Hopefully some use, 24 hr deal, had a quick look on the site and it seems to apply to a lot of jeans. Also note tomorrow is '501 day' so probably another offer on then.

They only stock mens it looks like

Just looking around for 511 rock cod £95 @ Levi's so 2 pairs = £142.50 John Lewis currently selling them for £57.60 so 2 pairs £115.20 so no good for me.

Pretty standard to find these for $40 in the USA, not on sale - here in the UK we're being royally ripped off. Costco always have 501s in for around £41 a pair inc VAT.

Up until the past few months, I only bought Levi's. I have had two pairs of 501's fail in similar places and they were only lightly worn over a year or so. unfortunately I will be moving on although Levi's do look great

I actually bought a rajah pair and headed south pair and the rajah are way bigger definitely not slim fit the headed south fitted me much better has anyone else had this issue?

Not all Levi 511 are created equal. The ones you get in the retail store are not the same as you get in the outlet and are not the same as you can get on Amazon and Sports Direct etc. I have bought multiple colours of Levis 511 from Levis direct, and others from Amazon and Sports Direct over the years and even at the same sizes, the cuts and fit are miles off. They might as well be completely different brand jeans in different sizes. I ended up giving 5 pairs of 511 that I bought from Sports Direct to the charity shop because they were completely useless.

You're right, its a very good deal for quality jeans. OK Levi's will never be worth £95 but they are well made and plenty fit options. Amazon are not a proper comparison - you might end up with knock-offs from that place. Let me know when the Headed South wash is £45 lol

So this is weird. This is the *exact* pair i was after in the exact colour i want Plus the tshirt and the sliders all for £50. I've seen amazon offers but its never the style i want in my size. thanks OP!!

Hmm never seen the weight quoted like in denim. But yeah, makes sense of course. Which brand makes a cooler weave then in your opinion?

Kevlar comes in different weights just like denim. Heavier being better I'd suggest. Draggin often use as towelling weave kevlar which i find a bit warm.

Yeah what I mean is it worth buying cheaper makes, but will it protect as well as, say, Draggin jeans?

the image is blank, unfortunately

Kevlar isn't a generic material, it's a brand, All kevlar is made by DuPont. Its the amount of Kevlar thats important.

Well, you're right, but in the same document they also list key contributing factors: - age: riders below the age of 25 account for 33% of the KSIs (with significant overrepresentation of 16 to 20 year olds) - most accidents happens on the rural roads (68%), not on the motorways (4%) or in cities (28%) despite traffic patterns. City roads are overrepresented in accidents ending with slight injuries only. - 125cc's and below are significantly overrepresented in the most accident-prone age group - males between 16 and 29 (...) in 2013 comprised 43 per cent of male motorcyclist KSI casualties but only 20 per cent of distance travelled. So it's probably safe to assume hordes of young males with no skills, maybe with CBT alone, zero experience and testosterone burning in their veins are significantly contributing to these figures. - the most common contributory factor is collision with other vehicle where vehicle driver failed to look properly (SMIDSY) - ...with the most common setup to be junction / roundabout - ...and compound second CF being poor manouvre, failure to judge other vehicle's speed/path, reckless riding, losing control of the bike That (and Bikesafe, and IAM) brings me to an end: if you're just commuting on your merry way, did all you could to make yourself visible, and hone your skills, it's not that bad. Most of the SMIDSY's can be anticipated (thus avoided), most of the situations where other vehicle merges into the path of the bike can be seen and accident avoided. FYI: in many places Bikesafe is free for the certain riders. Worth checking your local area. You are twice as likely to die having sex as riding a motorcycle. There are things far more deadly than riding a bike, yet still considered acceptable. Being wreckless, dumb, inattentive rider is what kills. Edit: having said that I'm still sitting at home since ages. I'd love to go out for a ride on the nice, empty roads, but I don't because while I'm not in any of the risk groups and take all the precaution, I can still have rabid pedestrian jumping into my path. I don't want to catch something in the A&E.

Trilobite, Esquad, Furygan, Dainese, Spidi, PMJ are all very good brands and you can find some decent prices if you search around.

Thanks for the advice guys, good weather is coming back and I need to get my confidence back but I'll wait till i get proper protection.

Second vote for Roadskin. Purchased a pair during the last money off deal they had and have to say they are very good, good armour too. They can be a little slow sending them though but worth the short wait.

Heat added - they actually have real biker sizes too!

Which outlet are you talking about because that doesn’t sound like Bicester, sounds like a charity shop...

I would argue their outlet is full of defective and reject stock though. On one visit I'm not exaggerating about 4 out of every 5 items had some kind of defect on it when inspected closely. It could be either made for outlet or just defective stock. I ended up getting a few items after a large amount of time checking for defects. Even a friend I took was shocked at the amount of defects, i.e loose threads, small tears etc in their clothing range in the outlet.

Great quality but I find fitting terrible. I am an XL in normal clothes but with these I'd need xxxxxxxxxl

some random sizes at good prices. Depending on size and colour there's a few good deals on these under £30.

Yes. Had three pairs altered so far. No payment required. Didn't buy mine in store either.

As far as I know, any Levis store that does alterations will alter the leg length on any legit pair for free.

That way OTT. Far from it. Obviously you just aren't a deal seeker perhaps. Amazon does have a range of designer/branded clothing at low prices which is end of the line and when there's just a few left in stock. It's their "clearance sale" as such. What can often happen especially with said type of items is there's a baseline "lowest price" and each day with a clearance like this the price lowers by £1 or so until it hits that baseline amount. When one is sold (if there's more than 1 in stock, perhaps 2 or 3), the price shoots up and slow price fall happens again. It's different to other sites and sales as amazon is a "marketplace". In this case, you could have people who genuinely want to buy Levi's jeans to wear at a good price. They might have found said item, be watching it carefully and decide when to make that purchase at what they think is the lowest price. It's a bit naff then when someone goes and posts it here for the norm of the whole lot being snapped up by someone who doesn't want the item, they just want them to flog on eBay at that price. The OP is clearly a fellow deal hunter and mark my words, the only reason this was posted was because the jeans weren't in their size or they weren't interested in the item. Had they been interested, it would be in their "saved for later" list, not posted here and close monitoring would have been done of it. In situations like this, it has little bearing on posting here apart from getting heat ("street cred") because people will scroll by, think "that's a great deal, but I don't need them...Heat", while the eBay sellers will typically go to the deal page and grab the lot. ruining it for everyone else who genuinely wants the item for themselves that had been carefully watching the daily price fall for days/a week. In short, if you're a deal hunter who wants to buy things for their own use at the best price, you will get what I'm saying. If not then that's ok,

Reviews would suggest these are fake, so i'm out (skeptical)

Yep in an era where jeans can be purchase from Primark for a tenner, these big labels need to reposition. Levi’s are better off selling one pair of those Nintendo jeans for £130 making £50 D2C and becoming a desirable brand than five pair through a catalogue reject shop and making £10 each pair. Would be nice to see Levi’s become a heritage brand again in a

Last time I bought a Diesel was half price through Zalando, the time before that was similar price through Harvey Nichols. Never paid more than £50, so definitely won't be paying £300 for any Jeans :)

Can you also get cashback on top of the 10% and free delivery? Anybody know?

Maybe have a look on Diesels website and think about that comment. £300 for a pair. You’ll always find cheap offers, but I never pay more than £60 for my Levi’s and never been able to find a good enough pair of Diesel jeans for a good price. So I disagree with you. Let’s just agree to disagree :)

Nice one. Yeah it is definitely worth it. Especially with hidden gems like that.
