Brooks offer a 90 day trial for their shoes if you order direct from them, you can wear them out and about, go for runs on trails etc with free returns.

Just thought it may be useful to know for those who are on the fence about their shoes and want to try them before committing.

Have had the Brooks Ghost 14 for a year for casual use / long walks, they are great.

That's great to know but this model is only reduced to £84 over at Brooks.

Thanks OP. Incredible price for a great shoe. Just wish they had wide fit.

    Thanks OP
    Great post/deal

I've got over 600 Km in an older version of the Brooks Cascadia and like them a lot!

I've just ordered a pair of Cascadia's AND a pair of Puma Deviate Nitro's for £126.45 inc del (thanks to the 10% off code ✅).
The Deviate's are a Carbon Plate fast-train / race shoe (which is unheard of at £65-75!! Some reviewer found they cut-up their heals, which is obviously bad, but I thought I'd take a punt on a pair for tempo and speed workouts!

    Cheers, D

P.S. The Puma Velocity Nitro 2's (for around £55) are a nice option for comfortable/easy miles (too sedate for speed workouts).

I've only run 30-40 Km in the pair I got from StartFitness a little while back, but they are on par with the Ghost 14's that I also got around the same time, along with other similar Brooks / Nike 'general mileage' shoes that I've historically ran-in (I run around 2000 Km per year across road and trail!) How's the support in the Deviate? I'm in brooks adrenaline and they are wonderful but always wanting to try something new

Thanks OP, I had a pair of Saucony trainers in the basket already and thought I'd get a pair of these too as I live near off road trails and I get along with Brooks

I wouldnt bother with those unless you're running on very rocky / mountainous trails as they are quite hard feeling and rigid due to all the 'protection'. If you're just on path type trails you'll be better off with the Divide shoe instead.

Are these wider than others I know there is no 2e size but it's to accomadate my bunions and is it comparable in length to ghost thanks
