Seems a lot of people that buy these really don’t get on with them and you can get some great bargains second hand e.g. on Marketplace. Obviously no guarantee, like you would get at CEX.

Same for me I had a Quest 2 which was great. I had a lot of credit at CEX so I thought why not trade in my Quest 2 and get a Quest 3. So I got a grade A Quest 3 at the start of this year for £400. I hate using it to be honest. I haven't switched it on in about 2 months. I hate the pancake lenses they cause a central black ring in your vision every time you look left and right you see it and most of the time you see it. People say just keep using it and it will get better but I see it all the time everytime I use it. Completely ruins the immersion and wish I stuck with the Quest 2.

"So I refunded my Quest 3 today. This was due to the Binocular Overlap, put simply this kills immersion and makes the edge to edge clarity worthless with the pancake lenses.

It leads to eye strain, I have been in VR for years and never had eye strain until now. Nothing can fix this, it's a design flaw."

It has been the single worst tech purchase I've made in a long while except for the Edifier speakers I also got from CEX, anyway I've mentioned those enough times.

Had mine for a month or two, been playing Golf+, walkabout minigolf, and Assetto Corsa. Any other recommendations?

Synth Riders (Imo better than Beat Saber), Pistol Whip, Racket NX, and Automobilista 2.
Plus of course... Half-Life: Alyx. (edited)

The novelty soon wears off I guess

Cex probably bought it for a £20 cex voucher.

I wouldn’t touch a grade C headset, if it’s in that condition, it won’t have been looked after.

Grade C = chucked around by kids and half knackered.

Most people don't find the standard head strap comfortable and buy a 3rd party one with an additional battery. Check out the ones from Bobovr - M3Pro (can buy direct from Bobovr or Amazon) and Kiwi as they take the pressue off your face. Meta's Elite strap is not much better than the standard strap so wouldn't recommend.
