Potential buyers need to be warned: it was mediocre but way overpriced device. Second hand is much cheaper but still mediocre. Microsoft ended support September last year, which means no more Android OS updates etc.

I bought one of these brand new around 20 months a go I think for £350 (128gb) from a popular membership warehouse. I didn't use it for around 5 months. I started using it for around 7months if that and then it just died. It wouldn't turn on. The glass is super thin and the USB C port surrounding plastic (no matter how careful you are) will crack due to its brittleness and its minimal section thickness.

It a beautiful device taking multitasking to a new level (in 2020) but the durability is ridiculously poor. I would advise all to stay away from this product unless you have money to waste. Also the way Microsoft dropped support for this product considering its initial rrp is a joke.

All of the above has been said many times on various feedback sites. Please don't my mistake of ignoring the warnings. Also 1 year Microsoft warranty should tell you everything you need to know.

As for the deal price compared to RRP ✅. But I wouldn't even recommend this device for £100 in 2024.

They should have made it all out of softer plastic externally and given it a metal frame.

I have to agree with this, always wanted one but as a gen 1 device it just had issues on issues.

I did however have the 2nd gen and that was fantastic. Still had issues but the hardware was vastly improved with better cameras and 5G support etc

I an totally puzzled how you consider paying 3,4,5 times as much as this equals brilliant.
Mine is is on is way for £140 after dropping a draw filler for voucher.

The Duo is better now than it has ever been.
