RouterOS is a fairly steep learning curve. Powerful, but it's an investment to get into Mikrotik. This device is fairly capable, we ran one in an office and was rock solid.

Please be aware this may have Libertyshield installed and a netinstall will be required to clear it.

Not this one, I don't think and that's why I posted. For those interested, best to read Q&A and Reviews on the Amazon deal page. Thanks for your input. If it has Libertyshield installed, you can try it out for 2 weeks and see if you want to take out a subscription otherwise you have to be good at flashing, probably a daunting task for novices but not insurmountable. Any good? Compared to opnsense or pfsense?

can’t see too much about Microtik and the specs seem real low… (edited)

this came out in 2018, 16mb flash, 128mb memory.
Mikrotik have never supported Wave2 wifi on it, even though the hardware is capable.

Is this good, their product page doesnt say much, or is this for a specific use?

I think this is much better value at just a little more for a later device.

    MikroTik hAP ax2 amzn.eu/d/1…K5g

Saying that I think it’s overkill and would probably bite on opnsense or pfsense instead of this.
