The Motorola Edge 40 is thin, fast and ready for anything. Powered the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, it can run your apps and games without a stutter. It takes stunningly sharp photos, thanks to the 50 MP dual camera system. Everything looks amazingly rich on its OLED screen, doesn't matter if you're scrolling, surfing, or gaming. And with a 144 Hz refresh rate, every swipe is oh so smooth.

Good to know

- Thanks to Quad Pixel technology you can take sharp pics even in low light
- The 32 MP front camera is amazing for video calls with your family and selfies with your mates
- With a 4400 mAh battery life, you'll have enough power to get you through the day
- When you need to juice up quick, the 68W TurboPower fast charging has your back
- Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound adds a layer of immersion when you're watching shows or playing games
- There's a fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for fast and secure log-ins

The updates on cheaper Motorola phones are terrible. Are their flagship phones any better?

Motorola updates are absolutely the worst I've seen. They took my and others perfectly working edge 20 pro and turned it into a complete mess. Over half a year it was broken for even basic things like calling and WiFi. Even after a factory reset. Apparently it was semi fixed with the next major update but that broke other stuff. Forget Motorola. Their support team are clueless too. Quite nice devices ruined by poor support.

One look at the Motorola forums shows the constant state of them. (edited)

172g and 6.55 inch screen, very thin phone, prone to heating issues when playing games... hope it helps. This is a very good price

Motorola updates are the worst. Very good handsets with no support. Shame!

Would this be better than Galaxy A54 for non-gaming user?
