100% this will do for an 11 year old, but I'd spend a bit more and get the iPhone 14 Pro max for £1400, is what some may say on this site

But yes, this at £109 is perfect. £10 les at O2 however if you want to save some cash (If its still in stock)

I bought this in blue a few months ago for the same price listed now. I needed a replacement phone quick as my previous one died. I decided to get a cheap phone to tide me over till the Pixel 7a launched. The phone is great, loud speakers and battery life is incredible = 80% end of the day with heavy usage. The screen could be brighter and it could be faster but for the price its fantastic. Needless to say I'm going to stick with it and not bother buying the 7a now.

£99 at o2, requires a top up but you don't have to when you get the sim card. This is still a good deal with possibility of cashback. (edited)

Possibly daft question but: This or a Redmi Note 12?

The cat's out of the bag now about how secure the cheaper end of the phone spectrum is.

Phones' facial recog tech 'fooled' by low-res 2D photo
"Of the phones that could be fooled, seven were made by Xiaomi, four came from Motorola, while two came from each of Nokia, Oppo and Samsung. One model made by Honor and another by Vivo was also found to be exploitable."

Some cheaper phones have fingerprint readers instead or in addition. I wonder how confident you can be about the fingerprint security? That's my preference anyway.

This isn't anything new. Fingerprints will always be far more secure than any cheap camera / Face ID solution.

Hi there Im looking to replace my ssung a20e with an android budget approx £150/200. It seems fast charging and battery life are the main concerns. And the ssung 5g a14 seems a goer? Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.
