Wake up at 4am. Do 500 push ups, 200 pull ups, and go for a 10 mile run. Now it's 4:30am because he's fast like that. Take a cold shower in the finest rainfall shower fed with iceberg water that's at least 30 million years old. Now it's time for the dealz. Search for deals on Amazon, reading over 300 entries per second since your DNA was spliced with an eagle and an AI superintelligence. Now it's 4:45am. You've already posted sixteen deals and no one has noticed because they haven't woken up yet. That's what it takes to be the best. is this right?

Same image sensor as you can find in POco M5s, a £150 phone, something isn't right ..

They allocated all the points to affordability and performance.

I have the F3 and I just don't honestly I'd have another Poco.

The reason is the awful, awful unlocking sensor. Despite the fact that I lock the phone, 9 times out of 10 it randomly unlocks itself immediately afterwards, even though I'm not touching the sensor. It activates from the heat of my leg in the screen when in my pocket, and when I get home from a walk, I find that I'm either calling 'Owner' whoever that is, or I have 50 or 60 photos or videos taken from inside my pocket.

One time it actually called 999 and I had to apologise. They weren't happy at all...

I find the unlocking mechanism on the F3 and the F5 to be the gold standard. Blows optical fingerprint readers out the water if you ask me, it's just so snappy and accurate.

What I did do though was made sure not to register fingers/thumbs on my hand which I use to take my phone out my pocket, otherwise it would just unlock it again while putting it away, like you said. I keep my phone in my left pocket and use my left hand to take it out, then generally unlock with my right hand thumb. Completely negated any accidental unlocking.

Honestly just go with the f5 I've just bought it and it's ace. Also it has a better fingerprint scanner and smaller bezels

Yup, the Poco F5 is awesome. It's serving as a worthy upgrade from my Mate 20 Pro in almost every way except for the lack of a telephoto lens imo.

Are there any drawbacks to getting the global version of this off AE? Will banking apps, playstore, etc., still function properly?
    Saif_Anwar's avatar
No drawbacks apart from not having a UK charger however they will give you a adapter

is this much of an upgrade from the Mi 11. I like the phone but the last update seems to have reduced the quality of the camera which is what I'm looking for an upgrade on.

    @MrSwitch it's £454.96 right now

    Edit - that's for 256gb not 512gb (edited)

No Xiaomi phone is worth that much money with all their software and hardware issues, I really doubt they test their phone before putting them in market, I have used many Xiaomi phones I will not recommend it at all.

I've used the Poco F3 for years and now the F5, completely different experience to you. I bought both of them at launch for 250 quid and for me it has ruined other phones. Crazy cheap, same spec as phones 3 times the price. There's no way I'd ever spend 500 quid on a phone again when I can pay half that.

The Poco X5 Pro has support until February 2026 so 3 years after it was released. The F5 Pro (this deal) was released May 2023 so I would imagine it will have support until May 2026.

    getdroidtips.com/xia…te/

"According to Xiaomi’s official blog, the company is committed to providing 3 major Android OS updates and 4 years of Android security patches. While it may be too early to determine whether the Poco F5 and F5 Pro meet the minimum requirements for the update, you can refer to the specifications section for more details."

So I would say definitely supported until May 2026 and might be supported until May 2027. I haven't found anymore info about support. So pretty standard these days but useful to know. (edited)
