sorted byThe reason is the awful, awful unlocking sensor. Despite the fact that I lock the phone, 9 times out of 10 it randomly unlocks itself immediately afterwards, even though I'm not touching the sensor. It activates from the heat of my leg in the screen when in my pocket, and when I get home from a walk, I find that I'm either calling 'Owner' whoever that is, or I have 50 or 60 photos or videos taken from inside my pocket.
One time it actually called 999 and I had to apologise. They weren't happy at all...
What I did do though was made sure not to register fingers/thumbs on my hand which I use to take my phone out my pocket, otherwise it would just unlock it again while putting it away, like you said. I keep my phone in my left pocket and use my left hand to take it out, then generally unlock with my right hand thumb. Completely negated any accidental unlocking.
Edit - that's for 256gb not 512gb (edited)

"According to Xiaomi’s official blog, the company is committed to providing 3 major Android OS updates and 4 years of Android security patches. While it may be too early to determine whether the Poco F5 and F5 Pro meet the minimum requirements for the update, you can refer to the specifications section for more details."
So I would say definitely supported until May 2026 and might be supported until May 2027. I haven't found anymore info about support. So pretty standard these days but useful to know. (edited)
