Went on Virtuosa in March. Fantastic ship. This was my second cruise after having been on P&O Iona in January as my first. Both the Iona and Virtuosa attract a good mix of age groups. Both ships have their own perks and downfalls - but trust me, their positives far outweigh the negatives.

Both cruises were thanks to similar great deals found on here.

I'm a cruiser for life now and don't really want to go back to a traditional holiday.

I'd definitely go on her again - and Iona too. (edited)

You likely to get sea sick on these things?

We had some amount of rocking last week. A touch disorientating at times but not enough for sickness. Nothing ever moved around, glasses wouldn't move on a table, its not that bad. Never saw anyone having an issue with it. I have unfortunately been victim to an uncommon issue where I still feel the boat motion even though I have been on land for half a week.

50239476-4KhUx.jpgTaken last week in Flåm from the Virtuosa. Stunning views and plenty of free sunbeds. Some kids around (wasn't school holidays!), but they didn't bother us particularly. Weather was better than predicted, take sun block. (edited)

Just come off the Virtuosa last week from the Norway cruise. One of our best holidays and our first cruise. There were some issues, getting drinks from the bars was painful when busy (which is most of the time). The lounge generally has best entertainment but its far too small so you can never get a seat, people get there early and sit there all day. They are constantly trying to push for on-board sales, including photographers, its an annoyance we just ignored and never spent an extra penny. We paid £340pp inside cabin with £25pppd premium extra drinks package which was well worth it. We would go again.

25 quid a day for drinks? That seems crazy expensive unless you’re drinking 2 bottles of vodka a day

Good price for a solo except for all the unmanaged children left running around by incompetent parents ruining the experience.

I never experienced that problem on Iona or Virtuosa. With that said, I went on them during school term time.
