Hold! 7700XT announcement tomorrow or Saturday.

Which will be months away from release and two hundred pounds more than this.

    Pointless comment.

Decent price. This was £350 with Starfield on Prime Day but hasn't been down to this level since.

Having pulled the trigger on this card though I regret not either getting the 6700xt for around £300 (+Starfield) or going up to 6800xt.

camelcamel shows this as the lowest price - but I posted it hoping for comments like yours as the xx50 XT's seem to be mid-tier incremental upgrades, so I wasn't sure if the next step-up or the step-back was worthwhile i.e. 6650xt
I'm moving from a RX570 so it should be a improvement anyway

edit for clarity - not saying you're wrong, maybe camelcamel doesnt track prime day, I was also after a MSI brand Radeon to match the mortherboard I have. (edited)

Good price and let’s be honest the 7700xt is probably going to be only slightly faster for a few hundred pound extra

The 7700XT will not be anywhere north of £400. I'd bet my account on that (might be a mistake!)

Yeah, you're right. Went back and checked and it was the MSI 6750XT Mech x2 that was £350 on Prime Day and not the Gaming X Trio which makes this a better deal as the Gaming is the better card.

The 6700 xt is usually £40 or so cheaper with starfield, and can overclock to turn it in to a 6750 if you really need to.

im thinking about upgrading to this card and selling my current card on ebay.

Another thing to consider with AMD cards is power consumption and electricity costs that are ongoing throughout the years and usage. That will add up.

It’s true you can fiddle with them and undervolt.

Nvidia cards tend to be more power efficient and use less electricity out of the box also.

Not pro Nvidia or AMD - just looking at options objectively.

    Thoughts welcome.

    Thanks.

RX 6800 deals seem to be dropping now making this not such a deal.

Has anyone upgraded to this from a 2070? Worth it or stop being a cheapskate and get the 6800xt?
    drkRoss89's avatar
I recommend saving up and grab the 6800XT (or the normal 6800 if it's outwith your price range). It'll be a much better pick in the long term, especially with the higher VRAM count (12GB vs 16GB.

Can get a rx6800 for 439 with star field

How does this compare with MSI Radeon RX 6650 XT GAMING X 8G? Worth the extra £140?

the final photo I included was stolen from another Radeon thread, as I wondered the same, it looked to me like it was, because if you assume its a little above the 6600 and below the 6700 you would be looking at 25fps at 1440p hence me going for this one myself.
Yes the 7700 is coming next month, but will be >=£400, yes the 6800 is more capable, but also another £80 over this one.
I've moved from a RX 570 to this and my 3D Mark score has gone from 3,900 to 12,000. I've consoles for couch gaming, the PC is for some game playing - not my main gaming platform so I'm happy with the increase in speeds for the cash. obvs YMMV.
