1. Clean the Headlight You can use the Holts restoration kit while it is still on the car - you don't have to remove it.

Start by washing and drying the headlight with a sponge and car shampoo.

2. Mask off the Area Once dry, mask off the headlight area by using masking tape.

3. Wet the surface Use water to wet the surface of the headlight - this is used in preparation for the wet sanding process.

Always wet the headlight before sanding each time to prevent the headlight from burning.

4. Sand using P800 disc (included) Attach the P800 sanding disc to the spindle and begin sanding the headlight to remove scratches and oxidation.

5. Repeat Procedure for P1000, P1500, and P3000 Repeat the previous two stages but sanding with the P1000, then P1500, then P3000 sanding discs.

Ensure that you are wet sanding each time by wetting the surface between discs.

I think this is great, but it must be a scary thing to do to put sandpaper to your headlights, just the fear of it coming out worse than it was! would love to see a live demo first before attempting.

The roughest is P800 which is wet and dry flatting paper, sandpaper is for wood.

Mask off bodywork around the lights, wetsand 1500 grit then 2500 grit, then polishing pad on a drill attachment with meguiars cutting compound or similar. Wipe off.

I used a similar product, the last stage was adding a sealer ( clear liquid) which needs to be maintained, I now only use sandpaper and finish with finer and finer polish
Be careful with the liquid it can’t get wet or damp otherwise it goes white.
