sorted byTo have a courtesy car released, they need to diagnose your car. My local Kia dealers (4 of them) couldn't see me for 12-14 weeks due to the number of vehicles that need fixing. That was 12-14 weeks without a car that we were paying for.
I eventually got a rental car but it took a lot of fighting and stress. I used to recommend Kia but never again. They are sitting on a PR disaster and look to be doing sweet FA to fix it. (edited)
but here’s the rub, KIA are turning down a lot of warranty claims at the moment based on irregular or “incorrect” servicing (the smallest loophole they can find) and if that’s on record on the KIA system….why are local dealers sitting on cars for 2 to 3 months before doing anything… HERE’S THE ANSWER THEY DON’T WANT TO TELL YOU….
After 3 months without any car…you’re desperate…then they tell you KIA won’t cover the repair cost, but they can get you back on the road “at a cost” usually at exorbitant KIA prices, when if you were aware 3 months ago…you’d have gone to your local independent garage and paid half the price…after all, you’ve no warranty now that needs maintained…so a win win for the dealer…you’ve been shafted and been stuck without a car for 3 months now.
This offer is the standard '2' model.
This is one for sale online now;

New car for 20 k with manual gear box
Maybe then need to have manual windscreens and manual lights and tape stereo
after so many year driving manual gear box and later drive automatic give my self question why on earth i did not sped extra to have automatic before (edited)
Cant imagine anything more depressing than owning one of there
I'm happily cruising with my 2016 Audi A3 diesel. Getting 50 ~ 60 mpg to the tank.
Funny how what badge is on the car defines whether the design is exciting or not isn't it

Finally I've also heard they catch fire all the time and the engine and gearbox have to be replaced every 5 years, is this also true?
Very happy with the purchase. Had good tech e.g wireless android audio, rear camera (which I'm surprised to see being a very premium feature on other cars at a much higher price point that we are looking at for my partner!)
Warranty is also a big plus!
In the ceed which is way way lighter, it should be quite fast (edited)
There are then two variants - the 1.6GDI with 130BHP (which would definitely feel underpowered in that size of car) and a 1.6T GDI which was Turbo'd and has 176BHP.
This is a 1.5T with 158BHP.
