I've been driving the mark three version of this for three years on a PCP deal, it's a great car for the money and you get so much spec. The only niggles are having to agree to the terms and conditions before you can access the infotainment screen every single god damn time. If you try and drive without a seatbelt it of course won't let you, but once you put it in and try to drive off it won't let you again for 5 seconds as if you tell you off, and lastly you cannot drive with the boot even slightly open so forget about picking up anything long from B&Q that requires the boot to be open. Otherwise it's a lovely car to drive. (edited)

They're all safety features! And yes, this includes accepting the terms and conditions of the infotainment system as it reminds you of the dangers of operating the system whilst driving.

I have a Kia as well and share your frustration...

    Buy an E92 M3 instead!

Why would you go for one of the least reliable car brands?

Looks good, better than the one under 20k that popped up?

Xceed is the crossover version of the Ceed (hatchback).

I personally wouldn't buy a new car, it's just not worth it these days unless it's something exotic. I also wouldn't buy a diesel engined car either unless it was an off-road vehicle. Not because I'm an eco-warrior or anything, but re-sale value of diesel cars is only going to go down with all the media against diesel engines. The funny thing is, I remember not so long ago we were told that petrol engines were bad for the environment, so everyone bought a diesel. Now diesel is bad for environment, so people are going back to petrol. Maybe diesel will become good for the environment again in a number of years (edited)

    emission targets killed the diesel

once upon a time i had a pd engined golf, 130 bhp, fantastic little car.... for a german car. the thing fell apart around the (fantastic) engine. properly serviced, it did feel like it could have gone on forever. then the euro 5 emissions came into force and VW never made another good car again

even glorious toyota, the gold standard for all cars used a BMW engine so they could fake their emissions numbers like all german cars do. terrible cars of course, the BMW engined toyotas

imo hybrids are and should have always been the future. no need to wait on a plug, better mileage and great performance.

Good car, but I personally would spend a little more on a higher specification model. It will obviously be better equipped, look better and will be much more desirable come resale time.

And running on 18 inch wheels which according to just about all motoring reviewers gives a much worse ride quality.

    Does this come in automatic?

On higher trim level a 7 speed DCT auto is an option.
