Long time apple user , with iPhone 14 , ipad Pro and watch .
I decided to give the S23 Ultra a go due too the ID mobile unlimited Data deal as I get very fast speeds with them in my area .
I love the Cameras , Video is unreal .
Screen top notch and S pen great and doesn't have that 2nd rate chip Exynos in it .
Things that bug me though , Copy and paste only works 50/50 and when your bank or website send a code to your number it doesn't automatically go in like on an iPhone. You have to come out of the app or site and go into messages . Then the app sometimes closes and you start again watching the phone to memorise the 6 digits as it pops on the screen for 5 seconds lol . Many reviews on YouTube pick this up as a fault .
Also some apps are no where near as smooth too use on android compared to IOS .
But am loving 90% of the phone . And my iPhone 14 is my spare now .

    Hello
If you change your notification pop-up style to 'Detailed', you should be able to grab otp codes from notification panel to then copy and paste into apps

Regarding the S23 Ultra.. My understanding is that all 256gb models are 8gb Ram. With only the 512gb and 1tb models with 12gb ram. Just be aware of this before pulling the trigger on the s23 ultra. Still a good deal I should add so heat from me!

Samsung have copied the exclusive Pixel feature dealing with spam calls, where it gets Google Assistant to answer phone for you and transcribes it, so you can decide whether to answer or not. On the Samsung when you get a call you get an option to let Bixby answer the call which does the same thing, very cool (edited)
    cowtc's avatar
The other feature implemented recently let's you lock incognito tab(s) with your fingerprint/pin, so no one else using your phone can see what you were looking at (edited)

Happily signed up to a 24 month contract on 02 on the S23+ 512gb last phone was a mate 20 pro and that was from cex a few years back. Great Phone but showing its age a bit. I can say I am loving the S23+. I didn't want the bulk of the Ultra and the square edges. The plus is a perfect size for me and the rounded edges much better. Cameras great. Battery life is awesome. 2 days sometimes when not gaming. Charging is quick enough to 85% where I cap it anyway. I can now play a lot of emulators and some Switch games are running sweet now on yuzu. The 888 gen 2 is a beast of a chip. So glad of the upgrade and with trade in money it was around £760. (edited)

Is the s23+ same size as 20 pro? I'm looking to swap myself,

Tool the bait last time from a deal you posted just got my s23u yesterday, was delayed by 4 weeks cause I wanted the 512g graphite. Overall I think it is a good purchase with promotion+trade in+free buds+cashback and compensation make sure you have the time and energy before diving into the hotukdeal realm
    BigFuryTeddy's avatar
Yea but my delivery date was shown 4 weeks delayed after the initial 2 weeks. Just a voucher really. Accessories are normally more expensive on their website so it's not big deal, you get the same stuff cheaper from Amazon. (edited)

Still a hugely overpriced phone from Samsung. In 2 years time it'll be worth very little. Depreciation is crap. Almost feel like going iPhone as the devices keep their value, each upgrade is a smooth transition
    zombie_unchained's avatar
why people value depreciation so much ... isn't comfort and usability is main factor while buying phone ? I bought samsung because I don't want be restricted in apple ecosystem and I like some apps which iphone doesn't have any equivalent.

Iphone holds value because they hardly goes on sale and they have created this image of premium... but in fact they are made in same factory as samsung (s series) and uses many same components.

Cold. If you're getting grey imports there are a host of cheaper sites to buy from. I'd post but no doubt it will get deleted for being a grey import site, yet sellers like this are allowed to remain up. I wonder why

ID mobile have Samsung S23 on a 24month contract for £28/month. With 100GB data, data rollover, EU roaming included. Total cost paid OVER 2 YEARS with all the data, minutes, texts and £672. Here you have to fork out for the phone alone £590 straight away. (edited)

Well yes, the whole point is that people don't want to be ties into an 24 month contract, I don't, prefer sim free / sim only, that way it's more flexible

I wonder are they the Single or Dual sim models?

EDIT - Company confirmed they are Dual Sim. (edited)

Moved from iPhone 14 Pro Max to S23 Ultra and don't regret it. A terrific beast of a phone. Heat added.
  15. Swrajit's avatar
I ditto Deanysevigny. I have moved from Apple to Samsung S23Ultra, I would say this is amazing and my battery last about 23 hours with moderate use. Overall, feedback after using this phone :
    Pros:
    - Great for ms teams calls, meetings and others for all day battery
    - Overwhelming camera feature and quality is amazing, night shots are amazing ( I hardly use )
    - Super fast to work
    - Love the pen and writeups
    -Fast charge
    - Dual sim ( I only use one sim )
    - Viewing 4k content is amazing
    Cons:
    - Some of the apps on android device are a bit buggy ( Not a fault of the phone at all )
N:B: I bought mine from samsung UK directly during cashback offers with EPP.

how reliable is this site? and what is the warranty on these pls

I'm assuming these are US or European versions. I think the US has a different set of 5g bands and the European version has a slightly different software version to the UK specific one. The issue is, what either of those would mean in a practical sense when used in the UK?

Any help and knowledge on this topic would be appreciated. (edited)
    WAE786's avatar
I have a European s21 ultra, essentially the same other than Samsung pay doesn't work here (just use Google pay anyway)

Would have been a very good deal if it was from an official retailer.
Got mine directly from Samsung and it cost me less than £500 brand new for the 256gb with free earbuds 2 pro, if anyone interested in the math here it is:
    £1249 regular price
    -£250 price match with AO
    -£200 Samsung cashback
    -£150 trade-in for a broken android phone
    -£56 TCB
    -£70 cashback for buds
    -£80 sold buds on eBay

How do you get cashback on the earbuds I have earbuds that came free too ?
