Phone companion app is next to useless since the transfer speed is, I dare say, literally 0. So if you need to get the video you'd have to get the microsd and plug it into your laptop or maybe a phone usb dongle.

That is, if your video is actually saved. At some point in the future months after you've purchased it you'll notice that it just stops recording. There's a lot of complaints about it and the official answer usually is "change your sd card". I changed mine and it's still happening. I had to keep the screen on (I hate it I want it off!) Just to know if it's actually on or not because sometimes I just notice that it's not powered on at all I need to restart it.

Don't waste your money on this one since this is security we're talking about.

I have the 522GW and have had the exact same experience. Wouldn't buy another Nextbase if you paid me.

£100+ down the drain for a product that doesn't do what it should. Don't waste your money on this cut-down product.

Do others find the lack of GPS and Wi-Fi an issue with this. Would an insurance company accept the footage without GPS?

They accepted mine a couple of years ago. Although I do have the 422GW model.

720p rear camera and 30 degrees viewing angle? Pathetic.

I'm not sure but is 30 FPS enough ?

the only real differences are smoother playback in bright conditions, at 60 fps twice as many frames so that you have more chance of catching things that move very fast and less minutes of storage space on your memory card, typically around 30% less.
