The Nissan Qashqai is a strong contender in the family SUV class

On top of what you get with Visia trim, this gets you dual-zone climate control, a rear-view camera, an 8.0in touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, front-seat adjustable lumbar support, a leather steering wheel, keyless entry, power-folding door mirrors and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Well worth considering.

0-62mph in 9.5sec. The DIG-T will get you up to motorway speeds without bother and gives you enough oomph to safely overtake slower cars and cyclists on smaller roads. Officially it'll average around 44mpg

Which one of the two different cars in the pictures do you get? (edited)

Neither. The Accenta Premium comes with smaller dark grey 17" alloys. The pictures shown have larger wheels from models further up the range. Good price but note that it comes with the lower powered 140bhp engine, manual shift and flat paint. Me, I'd pay extra for the 158bhp engine, metallic paint and if I could stretch to it, maybe an auto shift. Otherwise, the Accenta Premium has an impressive standard spec for the money.

Imagine that fully loaded with cases, two adults and two teenagers trying to get up a hill , engine prob explode

Would get up the hill no problem at all, I have one and I have no problems going up big hills like you mentioned

Damn that is a good price for a new car. My family have had a couple of these Qashqais and the engine despite it's size feels quite powerful and responsive.

    Powerful lol

With cars like the MG4 in a similar price class, I wonder who would choose this Qashqai over that - Qashqai also got 'UK's least reliable car' a while back. A few years ago when the gap between these two types of car was far wider, it was understandable, but now not so sure - too many competitive options.

I had the mg4 was a absolute nightmare car I had to reject 2 both with serious issues oil leaks, loss power, none responsive startup, windows blowing in air from outside, boot leaking water inside, locked inside vehicle, software bugs galore i would go for this Nissan

I'm not surprised these are being discounted. The 1.3 is an awful awful engine in a car which you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. This was the only hire car option at the hire car desk and after a week of it, I would have rather walked. You'd have to be easy to please if you chose this as a private purchase and if I was offered one as a company car - I'd look for another job. If this was a sub £20K car new - it would still be too expensive.

Don't go near the 1.2 DiG-T it replaced then, as if you find the 1.3 bad (and I've heard it's a huge improvement over the previous one), the 1.2 will plumb new depths (edited)

    People still buying manual?
    Jelly.Bean's avatar
Real drivers always buy manual. Automatic is for losers who don't know how to drive.

This is the modern day Trabant, infinitely better in every regard and modestly reliable, so why the comparison? Because this is transport for people who just want to get from A to B. How the car drives and how the car looks is not important, it is a car, the job it does is A to B. One thing to remember when buying a car is regular maintenance, you may not like cars when you buy this car and a car to you is just transport but remember to get it serviced and do regular maintenance and this car will last you until pay as you go motoring is enforced across the UK for ICE. Welcome to the future, it is not beige, it is Blade Silver and for some people it is Fuji Sunset Red, the illusion of choice is exemplified by this mode of transport, well done Nissan. This is progress don't spoil it, remember the bonnet does open on this car, you may not know why you need that feature but it is vitally important to understand the principle behind this feature.

4/5 when the summer is long and rainy, this is your meditation on life, the wipers will always work (remember to change the rubber things every now and then), and you'll always have a Qashqai, the next owner will hate you but this is your success not theirs. Well done on your choice citizen, above average is a fools dream, we know our place and it is warm, cozy and utilitarian. (edited)

That's actually a decent price. We bought a 1.2 digi-t accenta 9 years ago and it was £19k.

Prices for PCP and HP. Is this not an outright price.
