Looking to get 3 sets for the kids to play games on but the £10 top-up on each is putting me off. Missed the A16s offer posted a few days ago (edited)

You don't need to buy a topup if you already have a Giffgaff account. You could buy one, with a £10 topup, and activate it. Then buy the others on the same account.

So I buy the phone and 1 month SIM then cancel SIM after one month and keep the handset?
    MrSwitch's avatar
    MrSwitch Author
Either way you get to keep the handset, just stop the sim recurring in the App. And bobs your auntie

This appears to have 33w fast charging, the website states 'in the box' USB charging cable. Do I need a 33w USB plug or is the fast charging in the phone or cable. Apologies if this is an obvious question, my phone knowledge is not great!!

You'll need to buy a compatible 33w plug

Afternoon All, I'm considering purchasing the Oppo A57s (I'll be doing this tonight), which I'll be using with a Lebara SIM Card.

Just to confirm, how easy is it to cancel the bundled Giffgaff SIM Card that comes with the Oppo A57s, and is there any potential come back at all from them i.e. entry marked in your credit score file. Cheers (edited)

Hi, you can choose monthly rolling 20GB for £10 (no contract) so you can cancel the plan anytime. I'm not sure that it may affect your credit score. (edited)

I went for the A57s it arrived today and a nice surprise it was 128GB of memory instead of 64GB.
Seems to work fine restored my contacts and apps since my last phone was stolen. Watched some youtube on it sounds find to me a good buy if anyone wants a cheap phone.

My elderly Mum has got on well with the Samsung A50 I got her a few years ago but it's coming to the end of it's supported life - would the Oppo A54 be a suitable upgrade? (edited)

how good would the a54 5g be to use as a 5g home hub? 5g routers are £100 on ebay.. might as well get a phone for that price to use at home. Can it serve a home broadband need?

If your 5G coverage is good then it's a no brainer. Have a look at the specs as an image further down this deal if the deal reappears. that i've submitted.

Haven't had this one, but the two Oppo phones I have owned were great.
Solidly built and never had any issues.

This looks great for the price.

If the A57 is indeed 128GB (ROM) and 4GB (RAM) then its a very honorable inclusion ... Excellent deal.
I'm still wanting however the A54 for it's technical superiority IMHO. for the extra £2050490757-9DkO9.jpg

OH the image represents the {(Snapdragon SOC) on the left of two columns Oppo A54} v A57 on the right. (edited)

Whats better the A57 or A54 if I dont care for 5G
    brochan-lom's avatar
    brochan-lom
The A54 has a better screen and better camera, and probably faster processor etc.
But the A57 has faster charging, and may get more Android updates.

People that have received these, how do they look? Are they really "like new" condition? Do they come in original box and packaging with accessories? Good enough to give as a gift?

I got the A54 5G. It looks like new, no sign of any use.
It was just in a brown Giffgaff box. It included a USB cable and SIM tray pin, no other accessories.

Anyone finding their A57s performance sluggish. It takes a while for the apps to open. When opening the apps for the second time, it is fine, but when I close the apps and reopen it takes a few seconds. Have I received a defective unit?
