*THE FOLLOWING IS NOT NECESSARILY DIRECTED AT THIS SELLER, OR WHAT SEEMS LIKE A DEAL - BUT RATHER JUST A GENERALISED IMO COMMENT BASED ON THE DILEMMA FACED BY BUYERS WHEN BUYING A USED/OPENED/SECOND HAND PHONE FROM THE GROWING NUMBER OF RESELLERS (MANY WHO ARE NOT SO HONEST OR CUSTOMER FOCUSSED).

I am tired of all these type of VAGUE new/newly new/opened but unused etc etc phone sales..

They SHOULD all have to include accurate, factual, clear details and pictures of exactly what a buyer will get (Particularly when big money is involved). And not have just a generic ambiguous statement used for every phone.

Surely this is simple and fairer to buyers!

Stating in the description, 'MAY HAVE THIS OR THAT' and showing a 'RANDOM OFF THE INTERNET PIC' (with words 'for illustration only' in tiny print) just allows sellers; many of whom are dubious and modern day 'Del Boys' the freedom of sending out anything - And leaving the buying of refurbished/store returned/unused/blah blah phones appearing to be a a deal nothing more than a risky. fingers crossed.. POT LUCK.. LUCKY DIP affair. (edited)

I agree. Nothing against this listing or seller who I've never used and is simply describing this as excellent but in general those kind of 'opened never used / 14 day return / only opened to check box contents' type descriptions seem to be abused by some sellers as a way of bigging-up something they consider is in good - but used - condition. One of my pet hates is when used items are listed but only stock photos are used and no photos of the actual item for sale are displayed.

It would be good if ebay in particular could find a way of tightening up on these descriptions for used/pre-owned items but I'm not sure how this could be done or if its even feasible. (edited)
