sorted byIt's fast to put up and down (single pole) and a great spacious tent in the dry - we've used it for weekend family camping when we havent wanted to take our larger 6 man (which takes a lot more work to out up/down).
My main issue is the slanted nature of the door means it hard to open in the rain and not let water in, either rolling down from above or directly raining in. Not so much of an issue with older children, but a pain with smaller ones who are anot able or willing to slide in and out of a partially open slit. The lack of front porch means having to walk inside with wet shoes too.
Whilst having lots of room, it is also slightly 2 narrow to fit in the high double blow up mattress we have. First world problems!
Still, a great tent for the price... (edited)
I've got 2 large family tents already (air and standard FG poles). We usually go for longer stays in the UK.
This time I'm planning a family summer car trip consisting of a few shorter (1-2 night) stays in France, Spain, Italy.
Taking a large family tent that is spacious, heavy, and takes time to assemble/disassemble is not a good idea.
From the experience, will this tent work out well for our needs?
I'm also looking into Coleman Tent Octagon, 6 Man Festival Dome Tents but they seem large when packed up and probably take a lot more time to assemble/pack up.
Coleman DARK ROOM Sundome 6-Person Tent - 10-15 min to pitch up, twice the price though. (edited)
