with the rtx 4060 due out 29 June. I would just wait it should have a downwards effect on prices of older cards.
Stop logging in to hot deals for the next 14 days so temptation will not get you.

How much better than the 2060 Super is this? Worthwhile upgrade? GPU in my kid's PC has died and I'm thinking there's no value in the low end, so may as well upgrade mine and let him have the 2060S.

3060Ti is a good card, no doubt, but not much of an upgrade over the 2060Super, which was a brilliant card in fairness to it. At £300 or so, this seems a deal, but 4060Ti is kicking about on deals at £340 on eBay. TechNextDay had them 2 weeks ago, as an example. I know the reviewers will say there's no upgrade in a 4060Ti, but for the £50 the new software features are a game changer, excuse the pun, especially if you are geared towards Team Green. So might be worth hanging about and see if you could get one at that sort of price. Anyone here we show the difference between the 2 cards to goes for the 4060Ti over the 3060Ti. Depends on your use. If games and frame generation & extra bump in RT performance (DLSS 3) and the new features are what you want, to be fair most folks cannot tell the difference) then you get a huge bump in performance in real life, if not shown in benchmarks. Otherwise, you might get more value from a 6700 or 6700XT with the extra VRAM buffers (10G and 12G respectively), although this won't / shouldn't really be an issue at this level. Hope this helps?

You need to be looking at 12GB onboard memory for future proofing your setup.

correct, whether people like it or not new AAA games are developed for consoles, the PS5 has the equivalent of 16gb VRAM, 8GB is not future proof

Feels like we've made literally zero progress over 4 generations at this price for the power.

EXACTLY that. We are where we were several years ago in the price/performance field.

Paying almost £300 and only getting 8GB is silly

Well the performance for nearly £300 is a concern. Almost 3 years ago the FE of this cost £369 so £80 off that after all that time means out of principle I'm not paying more than £250 for this card. As 8GB is not great either.

Waited about 3 years for it to be this price...now it's just too late. Suspect the 4060ti to flop and be this price soon seeing as though it's practically the same benchmark @1440p

NO more production of 30series so the 4060/ti price wont change.

4060ti only 12% increase in performance compared to 3060ti. £100 difference and 3060ti current price same as 4060 msrp.

4060 real performance going to be similar or close to 3060ti but everyone will generally go for newer model + more energy efficient, if prices are the same.

Has anyone received this card, on this deal, from Amazon? Mine has been 'pending delivery date' for quite a while...
