I'd dive on these for my gigabyte b350m board if they were CL16.

Cant justify upgrading as my current "Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000MHz" is CL15 and timings are nearly as important as speed on the AMD boards. See: pcgamer.com/doe…el/

I dont think i'll see any gains with such high latency :/

Great deal for anyone running less than 3000mhz ram.

I should add there's some room for OCing but not much: "Patriot practically binned these modules to the max, so overclocking headroom is almost non-existent, even if you're willing to go crazy on the voltage. But running the Viper Steel at the advertised frequency should be more than sufficient in the majority of scenarios."

But if you are willing to go crazy on the voltage: "At 1.45V, we successfully tightened the advertised timings of 18-20-20-40 down to 17-19-19-39."

    According to Tom's Hardware.

Building a PC is a total minefield. I hope this helps someone!

I've run 2 x 16GB Patriot Viper Steel 3200MHz on an MSI Mortar Max B450M board since 14th January 2020 without any issues.

Anyone know what the default, non-xmp speed of these are?
