AMAZON KEEP DROPPING THE PRICE EVERY 2 DAYS, absolutely mental savings now, RRP £400 this currently my favourite VR headset, (out of 7 others here recently) especially when used on PC with its display port cable.

Pc visuals cannot be matched for this price, it rivals and in ways even beats the hp reverb g2 which is £600 and that only does pcvr! Best of both worlds for unbelievable price

far sharper than quest 2 and Pico 4 with none of the latency or performance overhead cost

Absolutely cracking deal and if I didn't already own 2, I'd be buying another!

I don't think this is Pico themselves dropping price as Amazon seem to be doing deals right now across stuff, so don't know how long this will last, 49% off is a huge saving and absolute no brainer.

That's a complete no brainer price, absolutely nuts for what you get!

Anyone have an opinion on this, I was initially looking at the pico 4 due to the coloured mixed reality instead of the quest 2. I was banking on the quest 3 having better features when that comes out.

Meta seems to be losing a lot of steam in the VR lineup, they’ve given up on the high end when Apple produced a headset but overall they still have better software support if you’re using it as a standalone product.

This particular neo3 seems to be having a lot of quality control issue, but it’s amazon so you know you’ll be covered.

    What are your thoughts? (edited)

Go mainstream, stay safe with this still evolving tech. The best VR software is still in an early primitive stage, given the issue of driving two hires displays with complex 3d imagery. There is a VERY good reason the stupidly expensive VR solutions flop or are cancelled at this moment in time- and why some of the most basic games have been the biggest VR hits.

Ngreedia has ruined the idea of improving rendering power per dollar as each year passes. And this impacts more ambitious VR terribly. The best home VR experience in the coming years may well by Sony, with the Xmas 2024 PS5 refresh.

The situation today is just like that with 4K gaming- pointless because just about every game is made with assets far below 4K, and 4K (at a PC viewing distance, not a TV viewing distance) merely forces the gamer to witness the visual limitations of the game (obviously with exceptions like strategy games where more pixels is always helpful).

Hot! Already have a Pico 4 but taken a punt on the Neo as always fancied trying a headset with a DP input for sim racing etc. Aside from the visuals the lower GPU overhead and latency is a plus too.

Really surprised to see this deal go cold tbh. Reckon this is the lowest price it's ever been (selling for £400 until recently) and is a lot of headset for the money. Would be doing well to find a used one cheaper I reckon.

DP really is a different experience in clarity and latency. I doubt I can go back to wireless now.

@GmoLargey - Considering the multiple price-drops, maybe starting a fresh deal is warranted?

Finally took a punt after holding off in case there was a further drop. I expect it may drop below £200 so best to schedule delivery a few days away
