If you are power conscious, or wanna run from a lower PSU, the 6800 is better and cheaper for you. The XT can be undervolted and slightly underclocked to get its power down, tho.

Got this card on Saturday and knocked 200mhz off the core clock and 100mV on the voltage, and now the card uses 170-180w at full load and never goes above 65C.

Still around the £300 mark, I paid £310 for mine about a year ago now and thought it was a good price at the time, and to be honest it's a great card with well over 100fps at 1440p which I play at, it does everything I need it to do very well, but at the end of the day it's last year's tech as the 7000 series is out now so we should be seeing that in price reflection which we are not.
Not sure if that's the manufacturer's fault or the retailers trying to squeeze us.
But either way last gen cards are still way too expensive, but I can't see that changing anytime soon.
