sorted byYou book specific seats in advance for not an inconsiderable sum of money. You're then told at the gate, you actually have different seats! Maybe if you work through their exhausting, Byzantine system, you can claim your money back. This happened to us in April. I'm still waiting for our refund.
The other day I booked BA for our next South African holiday in October. I book specific seats so we're together on a row of two in Premium Economy & BA happily take my £222 (remember this is just for the seats, not the actual cost of the flights!). Four days later I get an email telling me for 'operational reasons', they're moved our seats to a centre block of four.
According to BA...
"We have done our best to ensure that the new seats you have been allocated are of the same type as your original seats or a suitable alternative where this has not been possible".
Note the total absence of the word 'refund'. Funny how 'operational reasons' didn't stop them taking my £222 four days before for a flight that won't depart for another five months!

But when Richie Rich comes on this website flashing his wealth at us bargain hunters, I think the minimum punishment should be to throw him in the river and told never to return.
