Nothing special about this price. I booked last year for £310 albeit 6 months in advance. I'm flying later this year for £360

Whats "Seamless travel"?

Useless to Tokyo (again) Should be getting cheaper in October but they're still approaching £1000 or more! And very long stopovers....40 hours! I think not Much better by skyscanner etc

British Airways already has so many flights from Qatar airways on wet lease. Voted hot . 30 kg baggage allowance unlike only 20 kg from British Airways.

We flew to Bangkok with Qatar about ten years ago. In Doha airport we heard a tannoy announcement of our names asking us to go to customer service. Cut a long story short, we were told the flight was full and that we would have to go on another flight via Paris instead. Nobody was there to meet us in Paris for our flight to Manchester. We never received an apology or any compensation and they also lost our luggage. I'm flying long haul again in December, but it's certainly not with Qatar.

I've travelled with this airline several times and they are excellent, first class. They serve alcohol, yes. They serve bacon, yes. The service is impeccable, the fleet is impeccable. They are actually one of my chosen airlines that I would pay extra to travel with. If you want a drink and there is no attendant walking around to babysit you at your seat, get off your ass and go and get one. They will serve you with a smile from their station. If you want a snack, they'll do the same. The last flight I took with them on an A380 was the best flying experience ever!

Maybe they don't have any alcohol because the pilot drank it all, which is also why they are off course...

They also now fly from Cardiff.

I have never had a problem they dont make a big deal about it and generally keep it hidden you have to ask for it.

Just want to thank @BlackSkyuk for this find. We on the way back from NZ on this deal. The lounge is awesome. The 777 is outdated but still worth it ESP when you meet other returners that paid upwards of £5\6k . . Hope they pull this out again but upgrade the 777 to the double decker

That's rather condescending I'm 50+ and I think CATTLE Class is OK. Bet you've never even been Business.

Sorry I missed the fact it is business class, my company paid £3,500 for me to go to Sydney in in 2007 so this is/was a bargain

Thanks opp. Booked return in September for £1340 each . . Awesome find

Well here I am as promised reporting on my Air India experience which I must say I started with some trepidation after all the terrible reports I had read. On the outward journey on both legs I was fortunate/ unfortunate to have seats by the emergency doors with lots of legroom and no seats in front of me, I say unfortunately because I am not a fan of those pop up screens and tables from inside the seats. The first leg, 9hr + is a bit long for me but meals and service were on a par with Qatar and for some reason when I asked for a drink I always got 2, toilets to my surprise were immaculate and well stocked and all passengers seemed to clean up behind them, unlike on Qatar. Transfer at Delhi was a long travel to the transfer are and we were gathered together at the aircraft to get there together, an unnecessary idea in my opinion as we all do this at different speed and I just use the travelator or electric car if I see one, and we all landed up at passport control together and this caused a queue that would have been less if we had made our own way. Airport nice and clean and consumables reasonably priced for an airport unlike Doha. Return journey was marred by the 1st leg aircraft requiring a refit as some bits stuck together with tape and AVOD controls hanging from units, but this was only 4 hours ande the last leg aircraft although 4 years old looked brand new although a group plane from Star Airways/Alliance, the only disappointment on the 2nd leg was I asked for a gin and tonic and was told no tonic, A flight from Delhi and no Indian Tonic Water, whatever next? anyway I had brandy and coke and she gave me 3 bottles of brandy and 2 cokes and said if I want more just press the bell. I must say that having read a few reports from Air India the time responding to pressing the bell and attending is slow and seems to be a repeated complaint. On my return legs I was seated behind other seats and leg room seemed to be greater than Qatar but I never measured. Well I arrived back safe and sound and on time at all times with one delayed take off for 5 or 10 minutes due to aircraft movements at the airport but the pilot did keep us informed. I will not fly Air India on this route again due to the long journey time to Delhi from Madrid, but as for flying with Air India a slightly better experience than Qatar but nowhere near any reports from HUKD posters.

during school holidays I'm forced to pay up to 1000 for these seats ;(

Hi I'm looking to go to Bali in September from anywhere in Europe... if you see anything please let me know!! Thank you !

Safety is exaggerated, by the inclusion of a terrorist attack in 1984 were all the occupants of a 747 were killed, it was Indian Airways then which was absorbed in to air India in 2004 I think it was. Financial investment is a problem in India, Kingfisher is only kept going by the owner ploughing more money in every week, due to the price of the Indian rail system and the poor economy. Flying in to Delhi the food is better than flying out, but I take my own sandwiches with me whenever I fly anyway as whatever airline I fly by I am not really fond of what they serve up, I'm a cheese and pickle man myself. As for your opening statement I thought I had made it clear that I would never fly business class at the rates they charge and looked here to see if I could get this deal to see if I could warrant the extra but as usual it's another deal I can't use due to the T & C's.

How do I book it with a transit at Doha? Tried booking it but prices came up to £2000++ for tickets to Southeast Asia. Also, Which discount code is it?? Cheers mate! :)

Yeh not that great, a couple of weeks ago from main land Europe it was less than £900 to SIN... It's good for flying from the UK, but the real deals are normally from mainland Europe.

You can get it down to £1550 with the discount code, but still nothing special. About a month ago you could get Oslo to Thailand for less than a grand.

Passenger numbers are up on many routes and the level of security at Ataturk airport (and SG) is such that it's now probably one of the safest transits around.

Qatar Business Class is a world apart from Turkish Business Class.

Can't really find any at £300 or abouts price as quoted

Flown with them 4 times. I have ONLY ever selected them based on price as the service is TERRIBLE (and usually when the price difference is over £80 as I'd rather spend the extra without having the hassle.) Customer services non existent. They'll change tickets as they see fit. Website used to be terribly UNSTABLE charging but not issuing tickets. Doha has to be one of the most boring transit airports ever and you're usually there for several hours. If you get tickets to Indonesia at £289 take them... The next best price I've ever had is £400 with Garuda (direct though!)

They'll demand it if your a migrant worker

LHR-DOH this year.

Don't think there was any need for that rude comment :/ I had better experience with Thomson flying to the Med, simply sharing my experience. It seems there are more positives than negatives, also seems they've upgraded aircraft since as this was a few years ago. Personally due to the experience I had I would still choose a different airline where possible. As stated, I flew from Qatar to U.K. which is classed as long haul.

Nice! Would that mean you effectively get paid to fly to Auckland? Hope you enjoy the flight back.

They rebooked us all offering various options. We took pisa-Doha-hong Kong-Auckland (last leg on Cathay Pacific) then Akl-Doha-Pisa on return leg. On this flight now at Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific are saying business full and asking if we want to downgrade to premium economy for the HK-Akl flight with £1600 per person compensation. The Pisa-Auckland return flight cost £1100 so my fingers are crossed that one or both of us gets downgraded. Thanks for posting the deal Llantarnam -- there seem to be a lot of others travelling the same route today.

Kerridge - the problem is that I booked those dates in order to attend a wedding and have also booked (non-refundable) LHR-PSA and NZ internal flights to coincide with the Qatar flights. If I knew that Qatar were selling tickets they may not be able to honour then I'd have booked elsewhere as I don't need the stress!

Hi Patrick_000 - just had a thought. Have you looked into the option of flying 5 or more days later at around 6th Feb when - in theory - they will have the planes? This might be allowable by the regs as it's quite close to your original flight dates.

Cheers Kerridge0 - I emailed Simon Calder from the Independent and he mentioned the same EU regulation. Good on the EU for stopping the airlines from charging more when they decide to cancel flights. I'm going to try and get something in writing from Qatar tomorrow as that way SC will be able to chase them - I suspect they'll back down when they realise I'm not willing to pay a £2k+ supplement to my fare. Though I suspect others will pay not realising they don't have to.

Good price, but the connection times on the way back are not great from what i have found and as this will most likely be booked into T/O or W booking class then you will only earn 40 qpoints - If you are a Qatar Frequent Flyer like myself (so not worth me taking the deal). BTW same price in December (limited dates) with good flying times On the way back you can get a 15 hour lay-over, which is a little short to enjoy Doha (about £16 for the visa) as you land at nearly midnight and the airport hotel is expensive. If you could get a short connection on the way back and a long connection on the way to Doha, it would be far more enjoyable (due to the landing time in Doha). If you have not visited Doha, it's nice for a short break if you get a long connection - done it many times. For the price, you cannot really go wrong - so voting hot, normally if i do this route i might fly from Europe as it's cheaper, but this price is good from the UK even with the connection times.

Very good. Come up with that one yourself?

Birmingham's a great airport. Large enough to have all the amenities you need and with good destinations yet small enough to be personal and a pleasant experience. It's under utilised as an airport.

That's quite good actually. Long haul flight bookings often give just 1% cashback, if you're lucky.

15hrs trip time with 1hr stop over makes 16hrs with my calculations. That's unless my email from Qatar and the quoted times are lying. You can indeed get flights for £650-700 but not at the times we were flying and not with a 5star airline. Finair/China airways and Aeroflot came up at £700 on the dates and times. If that's who you prefer to fly with then good luck to you.

Well you may have not booked yesterday or today but there would be many reputable airlines flying the Lon - BKK with 1-2 hr stopover for £650 - £700. So I'm not sure how much you actually shopped around for your booking agent to quote you £1,000 pp. Appreciate your paying the extra to fly Business class but it's certainly not a deal at £1,500 pp.

Oh and the cheaper Qatar flights are 20+ hours we selected one with 1hr transit so was more expensive. The 15 hrs travel times come out slightly more.

I think maybe he's think Premium economy as we were looking at BA and that came out at 1200. If you want to fly with China Airways or Aeroflot I'm sure you can do cheaper..... If you get there

Just an update and a thanks... managed to book AMS-Bangkok on the 787 and then A380 (2.5 hour layover in Doha which will be good for a shower and a freshen up in the lounge) and returning from Phuket-AMS on the A330 and then 787 (this has a near 10 hour layover so I rang Qatar and they have organised free transit accommodation/transfers for a snooze/shower etc). We could've got a better plane coming back if we went via Bangkok again but the additional connection/time etc. was not really worth the hassle, lets just hope the A330 isn't too bad. Total price came in at 2609 EUR which came off my credit card at £1961 which I thought was really good. I've added our BA exec numbers so will see what gets credited to our accounts after the holiday. Now to find some lovely hotels in Bangkok and Phuket! Thanks Binary - no idea how you found such fares but glad you posted it :)

IXPROMO is just the fare code, not a coupon code - you don't need to enter a coupon to book this fare. The best price I am seeing for business class ARN to SIN in May is 13,161 SEK (around £1055). I would favour QR168 followed by QR944 with a 3:15 layover in Doha as both are scheduled to be 787 aircraft which will have a better business class product than the A330. But if you want to book it, do it now because this fare code form Stockholm (IPFRSE) expires on 1st February (i.e. in a few hours time!) Anything on IXPROMO is valid until 3rd February. To find the fare rules, you can do a dummy booking on a website like Expedia (there is a link which opens the fare rules in a separate window).

binary0110, I am trying to get the IXPROMO code to work but it always says it is invalid - trying from ARN to SIN for the beginning of May. Can you help please? I can't see what I could be doing wrong. Can you give an example where it does NOT say the IXPROMO code is invalid? Cheers!

Thanks very much, you have been really helpful! I have been looking everywhere and BA show you get tier and avios with qatar flights however didn't really say how you go about getting them credited. Cheers again :)

You add the BAEC number after you've booked the flight (just go to "my booking" on the Qatar website). The tier points and avios will be credited soon after flying with them. It's possible the flights to Amsterdam will come down in price so might be worth waiting before booking those.
