TECHNICAL INFORMATION

OUR COMMITMENT TO CONSUME LESS WATER WITH THIS PRODUCT
We've improved this product through an eco-design procedure for the colouring processes for materials, using the "dope-dyed" technique.
Textile dyeing requires a lot of water but also produces waste water from the dye baths. To reduce our environmental impact, we use a mass pigmentation process that involves adding the colour pigments when the yarn itself is produced.
We use this process for the following colours (ref: 8648382).
Living Room and Bedroom
6.5 sqm living area with an inner tent height of 1.90 m.
This tent includes several accessories:
- Zipped floor mat that can be lifted at the entrances in case of rain
- Transparent window with shutter
- Screen window with shutter
- Storage pouches in the bedrooms and living room

The bedroom of this tent can accommodate a maximum of four 70-cm-wide mattresses. It can also accommodate a couple looking for a very large bedroom.
Pitching and dismantling
Inflatable all-in-one structure with pre-assembled bedrooms and flysheet.
Using our Quechua Ultim Comfort pump with built-in pressure gauge, we recommend that you inflate the tubes to 7 PSI of pressure.
To view this pump, copy the reference 8601387 and paste it into the search engine of our website.
PUMP NOT INCLUDED
To make it easier, we recommend that 2 people pitch the tent, although 1 person can manage.
Sun protection
Our Fresh&Black technology relies on a UPF 50+ sun protection fabric.
Caution: be careful, as a large amount of UV rays can get in through a simple open door.
Ventilation
The ventilated flysheet on the living area airs the room and reduces condensation inside your tent. Outside each bedroom is a high ventilation hatch. Inside each bedroom is a large, low ventilation hatch. The living room comes with a mosquito net and the bedrooms with high mosquito nets.
Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable. The aim is to expose each side of our tent to the same wind intensity.
Properly pitched, with the guy ropes deployed, this tent remains habitable in wind speed 7, measured at 60 km/h.
Feel free to re-inflate your inflatable poles regularly during your stay at the campsite (7 Psi).
Waterproofing
We test our tents to validate their waterproofing. The first test is done in the laboratory, 3 hours under 200 litres of water per hour per sqm, equivalent to 200 mm tropical rain per hour. The second test is done in the field under real-life conditions by our teams. This tent is fitted with a polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet measuring 2,000 mm. It also has seams taped using heat-sealed strips and a 190 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet.
The Fresh & Black technology keeps the inside of your tent cooler and darker
Cooler and darker for better sleep!
Fresh & Black is a technology patented by Decathlon that allows us to reflect the sun's rays and insulate from the light thanks to specific materials.
This reduces the sensation of heat in the tent and makes it darker.
To get the most out of this technology, don't forget to ventilate your tent at night!
Repair
As designers and users who love nature, we care about the durability of our products. That's why all our tents are designed to be repairable. Spare parts and repairs for inflatable hoops are available at the workshop of your Decathlon store or on our website.
Poles and tent pegs
Inflatable poles - All our inflatable poles have a two-layer arch structure: a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) air chamber and a 600-denier polyester cover*.
Living room reinforcement - There's an aluminium bar in the living room to stiffen the structure.
Tent pegs - All our pegs are made of steel and have a diameter of 6 mm.
4 ground pegs are included.
*600 denier indicates a weight of 600 g for 9 m length.
Maintenance advice
Our camping tents have been designed for occasional outdoor use (4 weeks per year) when camping or in the great outdoors. Continued exposure to UV rays over several weeks can damage the fabric. These products are not classified as “garden furniture” and aren’t designed to be left outdoors permanently. To guarantee maximum durability of your tent, it's important to store it when not in use.

The review mention the door doesn't seal, is it a real problem?

I have a predecessor to this tent, and my cousin has this exact one. They're great tents, easy to set up single handed, and they even stow away easily back into the bag. Plenty of room inside, and the porch is tall enough for a 6ft'er to stand up. The blackout is a godsend, and it manages to keep things cool even when it gets pretty hot outside.

Not experienced with tents, dumb question but is the bedroom sheet attached to the walls? E.g the odd bug crawling in through gaps is fine but we went camping in a Vango and it was like waking up in I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out trial. They came in through the gaps in the floor.

Don't know if that means "sewn in" sorry for the dum dum question/s. Please send help!

It's attached by clips to the outside so no bugs crawling through the gaps

I have the 5.2 and its brilliant. if you're going to camp you may as well make it as easy as possible and having an inflatable tent with black out is about as easy as you can make it without getting a camper (edited)

Has anyone heard of these failing? Can they be repaired if they do?
    c58's avatar

failing how so? the only way I can imagine it would fail would be if the air poles got a hole in them and then you could just use a puncture repair kit (or a bit of gorilla tape if you're in a pinch)

We have the 5.2 version of this, it is brilliant. It takes a few minutes to put up, having the air struts is a game changer. No way would I ever on a family holiday with fibre glass poles ever again.

Nice tent but still way overpriced for what it is IMO. Maybe £150 but £300 is a bit steep for a mid shelf tent this size.
