The Scorpio V brings many formerly premium features to a decidedly budget-price chassis. The Scorpio V is a midtower case measuring 20 by 8.25 by 20 inches (HWD), painted white plastic and steel with black accents. The case is also available in all black. Angular vents flank a central mesh panel, which shows off a blue-lit fan. Another fan in the back pulls air through the chassis. Two sliding switches on the top panel control these fans. The fan controls are a premium feature, and can also control up to four more fans you can add later. The top of the panel can accommodate a radiator, if you decide to use liquid cooling.

The Scorpio V's other notable premium feature is an exposed hot-swap SATA drive bay molded into the top panel. Once hooked up, you can easily plug in a drive to access data without having to find an external enclosure or USB adapter cable. Other drives can be mounted internally using tool-less drive sleds. There are a total of three 5.25-inch optical and eight 3.5-inch drive bays. You'll need screws to hold 2.5-inch drives in the drive bays, without the need for bracket adapters.

The left case door has a fairly large window, which shows off your graphics card and motherboard. Overall build quality is good, and you can hide drive cables and the like behind the opaque right door. Overall, it's a full-featured, relatively inexpensive case that will leave you plenty of extra cash for enthusiast level components.
