Anybody else remember the ‘so bad it’s kinda good’ version they used to show on TV back in the day? With the expletives changed to random made up words? I’d love to know if Verhoeven ever saw it and what he thought of it

I love this movie. It was given to me as a birthday present on VHS when I was probably 9 or something. It was the most violent things I had seen at that age and Id love to watch it again but I think the level of violence has given me some trauma or PTSD. As in I love it as a movie but Im scared to watch it and Im in my 40s now.

Maybe Ill watch it this week. Jeez, Im already getting the flashback of the hand blowing off LOL.

For me it was the toxic waste guy that traumatised me. With this and Aliens, there were way too many inappropriate movies marketed at kids growing up.
