Opinions on this type of product? Never had one rug cleaner - Is it suitable for continual (I. E. monthly). Cleaning?

Well depends on how you use it , it's a spot one, so it's made for like spills and things like that. I wouldn't do my entire house with it. (edited)

Will not last long if cleaning a full house. I also found the modulating brushes annoying and pointless. For half the price grab a Vax one, in fact, do as I did and grab 2.

How good for occasional use on cars?

I have a dog and this is really good for the occasional diarrhea / vomiting incident. I wouldn't use it for much more than a spot clean, or cleaning a couple of square metres tops. I'm not 100% convinced on the longevity of the design but it's held up well so far (had it for 3 years or so).

If you search rug doctor and then your city you might find one closer to you to rent for the day, I think it's about 30 quid for the day, for those that don't have the capacity to store them at home
