Dirty Devil :D
All Carpet Cleaner Discounts, Offers and Sale - April 2018
Only paid just over 50 about 18 months ago
Ours has been very useful and I wouldn’t be without it (2 kids, 1 dog) but it’s not wonderful. You have to work on your technique and it’s not easy work. Don’t think there’s a better option for the size/price although we paid £50 which seems about right.
Seems to have great reviews and looks pretty compact. Thanks @benslatz
No as VAX promise a lot but not good in practice plus it’s a lot of money for a cleaner that only gets 93% of dirt up I have had vax in past and they are not good
Has anyone bought one ?!
Yes I got the new one on Friday amazing machine
This model is very good albeit quite a chunky machine. As these tend to not be used that often and are quite big you can normally pick them up second hand quite cheaply. I've managed to get one for £20 and the other for £10 although the latter needed a £6.50 new valve.
Did you get this recently?
Old model got the new one on the Vax website for 200 quid with a free steamer great carpet cleaner
No stock near me unfortunately.. I've been looking for a carpet cleaner too!
Already posted https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/bissell-cleanview-lift-off-carpet-cleaner-white-19999-amazon-2822313#comment-32373191 Better to buy direct from bissell and get 5 year guarantee.
They are finally matching the Bissell direct site Tempted yesterday, but no codes at moment for Bissell direct So hanging fire atm
Seems the 5 year warranty is standard on these. I have used this on a couple or carpets on my house and also on a light grey interior on a car and have to say it is a fantastic machine.
I'm surprised this doesn't come with a turbo tool, I've been meaning to buy one for my pro heat:- https://www.4bissell.co.uk/deep-cleaners/32mm-turbo-brush-tool/product.pl?pid=1278018&path=606373&refine=tools
If you own your own, rather than rent, you can clean up a spill immediately, while it is still wet, which can avoid leaving a permanent stain in your carpet.
Rug doctors at £25 a punt would be an alternative. One or 2 times a year do the whole house.
Same price at https://www.bisselldirect.co.uk/ with free delivery and 5 years warranty
Having both Dyson and Vax Vacuum cleaners my Mrs considers the Vax a close second in quality whilst being a lot lighter if you have to lug it about.
forgot the maths! Cant read either states 2 year Vax UK guarantee lol
It seems maths is not my strong suit - it's actually £15 cheaper.
That promo video! One swipe and its clean? (excited) In all seriousness though, I literally just walloped a cuppa over my cream carpet, this could be a steal, anyone actually used it and can vouch for it?
Looks identical to my Dirt Devil; does it also howl like a banshee?? I wear industrial ear defenders whenever I take mine out of its cage. Cleans well though.
How many times, it's not a hoov... Oh wait, it actually is a Hoover this time!
Thanks summer. 8)
vax recommend using their own carpet cleaning solution. However screwfix sell some, which I think is reasonably priced and some of the reviewers have used it with their vax machines.
Not sure how good this is but Vax products tend to be best value in recent years.I've only had to use Vax customer service once when the Mrs broke an attachment on our Vax vacuum cleaner. They sent a replacement out FOC next day even though I'd told them she'd slammed a great big heavy door against it so our fault entirely.
Half this price at Studio
Wouldn't buy any Vax, been bitten too many times.
The customer service is very good from Vax. We had two which stopped working within warranty and they replaced them straight away. I wouldn't buy another as the machines themselves didn't seem particularly robust.
All turned up today, nice one :D
Also this went through at £12 and I have no idea why? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rechargeable-Equivalent-6000K-6500K-Waterproof-Floodlight/dp/B072117FHT Says £39.99, everyone else's says £39.99, but when I added to basket and clicked checkout I got it for £12? Very odd!
Its back, just ordered along with these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004RUHWOG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000IU3VZS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I ordered 3 yesterday... Happy days!
lol. that was quick!
I can confirm it's 6 years guarantee. Just ordered it and received an email stating it's automatically registered for 6 years guarantee. Shame, there is no option for quicker delivery even at additional cost. Looking forward to it and can't wait to use it. Reviews looks good and at this price it must be great value for £££.
Ordered the All Terrain yesterday, and even after querying that it now said 2 years guarantee with customer support who almost talked themselves out of a sale by confirming 2 years, not 6 as stated in the video presentation I got an e-mail last night stating 6 years guarantee registered automatically with VAX. With 2 years guarantee I had figured to take advantage of the option to return it within 30 days to try it, see how it performs and decide if to keep it or return it, possibly for a refurb with just a years guarantee for even less money. 6 years guarantee means I'll keep it unless it is totally useless. Didn't manage to get the extra £10 off for first time customer through online chat but I'll take a 6 year ticket as a win and be thankful. ;)
Just called the sales team and told them i was a new customer. They first said that they cant give me the '£10 off your first order' deal with the CARPET4 discount code, just i just asked the lady to speak to her manager. So she came back to me and said she will apply the CARPET4 code to my order, charge me £139.99, and then process a £10 refund. Just checked my account, the -£139.99 and +£10 have both gone through together - netting to £129.99!
How did you get extra £10 off?
I suggest people dont bother with Vax's carpet shampoo and just stick with basic floor cleaner (like flash). Smells much nicer and seems to clean a lot better too! Plus at £1 a bottle it is much, much cheaper.
So is there one that is recommended (Don't say the George!)? I have to say, this one has on the whole excellent reviews so I was surprised to read the above. I 'm toying between this or the rapide - immediate use is for a car but then on it would be for the house every so often. Given I have a "dry" vac already, the dry function on the 6131t will not be used so I'm treating it as a wet only just like the Rapide.
To echo above, good for upholstery, poor for carpet. Also the pump will die, I'm on my second replacement as pump has died twice in a year!
Got it too, large attachment is pretty useless, but good results with the small attachment for cleaning cars interiors. Dry vac is pretty poor compared to our other miele vac Although I paid £68.98 deivered
I got this the other year, it doesn't clean the carpet, it just makes it wet. I had to just rent a professional one out that did the job.
I almost bought this for my lad after reading Bundle & Steam, he would have not been happy even the 1080 wont run that X)X) teach me for speed scrolling oO
Good for the money, but you should really get one with a hose for cleaning stairs and furniture. You'll kick yourself if you don't
sounds like a good deal here
As a one-off clean, almost certainly it is. The beauty of buying though is you've then got the device for as long as it lasts and can use it as often as you want. People who buy a Bissell/Vax probably wash their carpets every year or two (more if you have dogs or messy kids), plus there's the occasions where a wine or coffee get knocked over and you can whip this out.... Depends on what you want/need really.
Is it not cheaper to rent a doc rug? Sorry, I have never cleaned a carpet with one of these but I am moving house soon and might need one of these to rent or buy. Appreciate any comment.
aye, i like to do it on the stairs... and in the car! https://m.bisselldirect.co.uk/bissell-spotclean-pro-1558e
Ignore me, I just realised its a handheld one. Thanks.
Thanks for this. Just a shame you can't mix and match. Can't moan though, I've ordered enough authentic detergent to last the lifetime of both my machines. 3 x Wash & Protect Pet, 3 x Deep Clean, 3 x Spot Formula, 3 x Spot OxyBoost. All for £85 delivered! Amazon, where I would have gone would have cost £150. I wouldn't have bought them all at the same time however, so will have to look at it in the long run. I wouldn't touch the supermarket / DIY store own label. Why pay out for a decent carpet cleaner, to run non approved detergents with it? Although I'm also one of those guys who doesn't touch any supermarket petrol, but that's another story. :D @ luvsadeal - OP mentions VAX sale, so I hardly think they work for Bissell.
No I do not work for Bissell since you asked, I don't get a dime from them.
What do you mean by "genuine"? What's not genuine about the screwfic product ans why would it in anyway affect the operation of your cleaner? I have the bissel stuff - got a bottle of it yellow labelled at Tesco for £3 - it's not more effective than any other cleaner I've used. If i have particulalry heavy soiling to remove i put some liquid detergent meant for the washing machine in my cleaner - and it has done it no harm over many years. After all, all the carpet cleaner does is squirt the stuff out, scrub it into the carpet and suck it back up.
this is your first deal - do you work for these expensive Bissell people?
For the sake of preserving my Bissell Guarantee, I will stick with genuine products. What I posted is a bargain for a genuine product! How often do you hear that?
Looks huge in the photos....that lady must have some muscles!
looks like it automatically gets voted cold as people confuse this with other models , looking back it was never a hot deal and this is the lowest price for this particular model
It's quite often available for less.
I also bought same price from amazon warehouse and it was brand new, just open box.
Why is this being voted cold as it seems cheaper than most places? Reviews are decent too!!!
hi can anyone tell me how the £10 Xmas discount is applied please?
how do toy get the discount please. I've just gone to order it and there was no discount at checkout. Is it a voucher for when you buy again from them
Disagree mine knocks spots off a v6. but this isnt a dyson deal. It doesn't cost dyson money either. Enjoy your expensive V6 ;)
Dyson handheld v6 all the way. These look and feel cheap and nasty.
Maybe your significant other isn't really into watching you post things on hukd.
Good deal but sold out now.
Crap products and customer care, ours nearly set on fire after 18 months, not this model.they were not interested.
Vax products are great but just be prepared to accept the fact there is a reason they have a 6 year warranty, because you WILL need it! I have three brand new Vax products all from the past 3 years and all three have broken multiple times. I will say their support service is superb though but be aware
