I've had a hell of a time getting a decent toaster, and have sent back 3 in a row including this one and also a £125 De'Longhi Sculpito. All of them crap. This one is especially crap because it heats very quickly resulting in cremated outside but still moist chewy insides of the slice, and very dark bands of colour with lighter lines in between. But it's also got tiny slots so even regular bread pokes out the top. And the outside gets very hot.

But at least when you're spending £30 on a crap toaster you don't feel too robbed. At £125 I was crying myself to sleep over it. I've actually gone back to the first one I returned - the Haden Salcombe, which was the least bad of the bunch, at £37 from Amazon. Avoid this one would be my advice. (edited)

We have this, you have to put the bread in sidewards because it doesn't toast right up to the top. Check the user images on amazon. Other than that it seems alright, hasn't exploded yet or anything

Just don't put it in the bath with you.

I bought this recently - tiny slots, slow to toast.

Interesting that the vendor's AI describes it as a "toy".

I suggest if you've got 850W spread over four slices, it'll take longer to toast the bread than to bake it.

Absolutely have to buy from the specialist bathroom suppliers to obtain a more realistic spec of
    Wattage (W) 1250 / 1500
