    Even if it is "overkill" I would rather pay the tiny bit more and get 32gb!
    Diablo IV in 4k actually recommends 32gb too lol.

    I have an AWD-IT system with a 6800xt and running into issues with the drivers for the 6800xt consitantly crashes if you try to stream vr (apparently it works if you use a driver from 2 or 3 years ago). Its a long standing problem which AMD have not resolved. If you go with the AMD, your son might spend more time troubleshooting than playing games.
