  • It Just Fits: The Rocket Q4 2230 is specially designed to fit your Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and other devices that have limited internal space. Don’t risk using an OEM, double-sided, or M.2 2242 SSD! This SSD also works in many longer slots while maintaining a tight look and experience.
  • Looks Can Deceive: This short drive packs a serious punch. Get Gen4 performance in a tiny package with up to 5GBps of sequential bandwidth and up to 800K IOPS. The Rocket Q4 2230 gives the best performance for the ROG Ally and other Gen4 devices but maintains excellent latency, responsiveness, and power efficiency when constrained to Gen3 operation.
  • Maximum Capacity: Don’t settle for less space and don’t rely on slower, lower-quality microSD cards or bulky external drives. Get up to 2TB of fast, internal storage with the Rocket Q4 2230! Enjoy gaming desktop class storage performance at your fingertips, now available for your Steam Deck and other devices.
  • Advanced Tech: The Rocket Q4 2230 combines the newest controller technology with efficient and capacious Micron 3D NAND flash. The Phison E21T SSD controller is powerful with HMB support, and the dense QLC flash runs cool even with up to 2TB stacked in a single package. Don’t settle for older or unknown technology.
  • From Sabrent: This drive comes with a retail warranty, Sabrent support, and a copy of Acronis True Image for your cloning and imaging needs. Please register your product at sabrent.com to extend your warranty and contact customer service with any questions.

For those swapping an internal (deck, laptop, etc) I would suggest getting this

    m.aliexpress.com/ite…ite

To use the old drive as external and help with the migration. Tiny case that makes a mighty external drive

Very nice, what swayed you from getting the larger case that can take more drive form factors? Was it the compact size?

Who is the warranty with since the seller is based in the states and Amazon will only do the first 30 days?

As the listing says: 'Please register your product at sabrent.com to extend your warranty and contact customer service with any questions. '
I also have the link in the OP.

Prices falling like crazy on these... I paid £150 for a slower gen3 1TB model only a year ago.

Great price for those that want a warranty / more security of purchasing an SSD.

I grabbed a 2tb 2230 from a choice seller on Ali for £101 and it's all legit. Benchmarks mega, loaded up 75% of it so far and no problems. But can understand why someone wouldn't want to take the risk.

Where are you finding 2Tb on AliExpress for that price?

Great price, it's still a bit frustrating that 2230 cards are so expensive but I can't say no to that sort of discount as well as staying with a branded name from Amazon.

I think they are cheap. A year ago they didn't even exist. What are you comparing them to, 2.5" drives?

You know that thing when you buy something, thinking it won't get cheaper and its still sitting unopened on the shelf when something else comes up.

I got the same drive at a similar price for my deck, but what makes you suggest that the 740 is better than the Sabrent?

Was looking at this before but felt its still to high of a price, voted hot as its cheap compared to the normal price. I ended up getting the WD sn740 2tb from AliExpress for £110 (edited)

Nah, you'll always pay the '2230 tax' on these as there are so few options.

I really hope it's possible, I've been trying to see what is the cheapest option for playing it, considering the Steam Deck is about as up to date as it gets for me!
