HP Chromebook touchpad issue

I turned on my HP Chromebook and the touchpad isnt moving the curser around anyone know why is might be looking online haven't found a solution.

    It doesn't have the little white dot top left on the TP does it?

    I've had this happen on a Chromebook before (a touchscreen one, so it wasn't such an issue). I found that closing the lid then reopening it usually fixed it.

    After trying tips about and trying a reset... nothing has seemed to fixed the issue
