Doesn't work for EPP purchases this time.

Samsung made it clear in the T&C's so I wouldn't try this is you need the cashback

The terms and conditions are very clear - EPP discount portals are excluded from cashback. It's difficult enough getting Samsung to pay up even if you've met the terms and conditions, so there's no chance I'd risk this.

But good luck to anyone who goes for it, looks like at least one person on one of the other threads has received the initial confirmation after using the EPP store. Maybe it will slip through.

Edit 9/12: Samsung have confirmed that the EPP is explicitly included. Terms and conditions: "EPP purchases (Samsung Students, Samsung Networks, Samsung Partners, Samsung Exclusive Offers & Samsung Business) are also eligible". (edited)

Seems they've updated the wording of the T&Cs!

Now clearly states that cashback is good for EPP: "EPP purchases (Samsung Students, Samsung Networks, Samsung Partners, Samsung Exclusive Offers & Samsung Business) are also eligible" - source.

You might get £100 cashback, but it is absolutely not guaranteed.

EPP stands for Enhanced Partnership Programme, not employee.

It does say student discount is accepted and one or two people have had their claim accepted
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to send for verification I sent a screenshot, but they said insufficient, they want the IMEI number which I don't have

How have other people got this accepted for cashback without the IMEI number

In regard to the cashback perhaps it means
Buy on the moon Samsung site and enter your student discount code, as opposed to going through totum student Beans and unidays
So it looks like it will accept a discount code.

If this works and we get double cash back
Then it's going to be, 🤑🤑🤑 (edited)

    alexpascal
You need to wait for it to be delivered and then IMEI is on the back of the watch as well as on the box itself.

Can someone clarify this for me. Can you claim a total of up to £300 overall across possible 4 claims or is it each claim can get up to £300, potentially £1200 if you make 4 claims?

Done a trade in , sent the watch through Royal mail Friday last week and Samsung still haven't received it. I have received a msg from Samsung saying if they don't get the trade in within the next few days I owe them £100 or they will temporary block the watch. I used the postage Samsung provided so I knidda feel this is unfair.

Got my 5 pro this morning, and first impression having a garmin fenix 5 sapphire is how chunky and boring it looks.
But after having a play around this morning setting it up, i'm very impressed, it's lighter then the garmin so don't feel it on my wrist as much, the strap is excellent, a very comfortable watch to wear.
Still playing about with customising buttons and apps, etc but impressions are now that even if i started running / swimming again i'm not sure i would wear the garmin, this seems to do it all, and very well.

I received the watch and posted trade in watch a week ago with their 48h label.
I checked traking now and it’s still at the same post office.
It probably won’t arrive in time as Samsung said it „must” be returned. Will they still accept it as it’s royal mail strikes fault?

On the same day, I replied to this with proof of postage
19/12/22 - samsung trade-in acknowledged my email and extended deadline for me
21/12/22 - Royal Mail tracking showds trade-in delivered
04/01/23 - Email received to confirm trade-in completed

For anyone who's in doubt...student discount is allowed the cashback as OP has proven in the T's & C's

EPP is different, that's an Employee Purchase Program aka staff discount which is not allowed in this promotion

People seem to be reading the T&S as student portal are allowed but that's not what it says.

It says student discount as in codes are allowed. The student portal is the same portal as the EPP.

I could be wrong but that's how I'm reading it. I'd love to be wrong as this was beyond amazing last year.

I ordered via Perksatwerk/EPP and I got mine today. Just confirmed the serial number and got cash back approval a minute later.

I suppose it could still be declined in the next few days/weeks, but the way I'm looking at it is, if I'd bought off the main website it would/could have been £429-£100 trade in-£100 cash back = £229, and with Perks it's cost me £264 (so far), with a possibility of cash back, so £164 (I hope).

So upside, I get back £65 more than I might have going through the main site, downside is I'm £35 worse off because cash back is declined. Would prefer the upside obviously

Alright, since no one could give a full on answer to why the cashback will work, I guess it'll be me.

Yes, if you use unidays student discount it counts as EPP (same goes with the other student discounts - totum or whatever)

Student discount websites is a small portion of EPP for Samsung. (Samsung refers to companies which have decided to partner with them as EPP to give discounts to and as such - I'm not aware of the full details of discounts and products, so don't ask.)

The second paragraph is there to state that student discount (EPP) is an exception, therefore you will get the £100 cashback. If you try to use an discount from an EPP which isn't considered "student discount" it will be denied. (edited)
    Star1234's avatar
    Star1234
I took the 2nd paragraph to mean if you used student discount at one of their participating retailers (which EPP places are not - which these student EPP stores may also count in).

Although people have submitted claims for cashback.. its not actually confirmed until a bit later down the line (the submission is confirmed, not the cashback at that point - I could be wrong here as its been a while since my last cashback claim). They also have tracking for the cashback (which seems pointless if they approve it all right away?)

I've used cashbacks in the past too without problem but the wording is definitely poor on this one.

    Hopefully they honour it

Also a bit odd the cashback doesn't show when placing the order - it usually includes the offer when an eligible item is in the cart (like the trade-in offer) (edited)
