Timeless design

The Galaxy Watch4 Classic BT is a premium smartwatch with the looks and feel of a traditional timepiece. Crafted from stainless steel, it's tough while staying light and discreet on your wrist. Whether you're hitting the gym, meeting clients in the office, or heading out with friends, it's ready for all occasions.

The bright and vibrant AMOLED display is surrounded by a rotating bezel that lets you scroll through apps and menus without touching the display. The watch is water-resistant, too, so you don't have to take it off when you're in the shower or pool.

Make every move count

Your wellbeing is important. With the GalaxyWatch4 Classic it's easy to keep track of your general wellness and take steps to improve it. Create healthy habits that last with sleep tracking and breathing exercises to help reduce stress.

The built-in monitor with ECG helps you to keep an eye on your blood pressure and heart rate, and together with fitness tracking that automatically recognises when you're working out, you get a more complete picture of your health. You can also set daily goals to give you that extra motivation.

Stay connected

Check your notifications on the go. The Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic lets you read and reply to texts, WhatsApp messages and social posts, pick up calls, and add to your calendar.

Yeah, but not for any watch on this one, and trade in prices are pretty poor

I wouldn't mind getting a smart watch but I'm gonna wait till the technology moves on and you get a week's battery life out of them. Really can't be faffing around charging the watch as well as the phone almost everyday!
    Whitey2048's avatar
Really isn't much of a faff. I put it on charge whilst I shower and get ready each morning and it's done. I have this watch and it loses about 50 percent in 24hrs with the always on display on, along with gps etc. By the time I'm showered and dressed its back to 100 percent. If I was to forget it would still last another 24 hrs. I couldn't be without it personally and charging is an easy habit to get in to, unless you don't shower each day, but then a flat watch battery is probably the least of your issues

How does the watch 4 classic compare to the watch 5 and watch 5 pro?
    Sickyman678's avatar
The 5 pro has better battery but not having the rotating bezel.

5 pro gets me 2 days of battery with AOD on (edited)

    50065199-PlM15.jpgJust found this,£50 trade in, any smart watch,through p&w.
    No wireless charger though.

I think the wireless charger is £20 at Currys at the moment so it's no big loss

Still got my Galaxy Active 2.
I like the look of the classic.
However with the 4 having come out a while ago, I think I want a significant upgrade and a better battery. Is this much better than the active?
    Dudeofrude's avatar
Yes it is a noticeable upgrade. This one runs the newer Google OS instead of the old Tizen that your current watch has. It doesn't really do much different, just looks better and is an overall cleaner UI.
The biggest upside to the Google integration is the fact that you can now download apps and watch faces from the Google play store which has a much better selection than the Samsung store.
The other noticeable difference is the bezel on the classic. I personally loved it and now really miss not having one (I have the 5 pro) makes using the watch loads simpler

Won't this watch just fall off your wrist? Terrible design flaw. I'm surprised no one noticed. This country etc

A point to be aware of is that these are advertised as waterproof by samsung, but they don't actually guarantee them if effected by water damage. I had the galaxy watch S3 fronteir for years and swam with it regularly, without any issue, until it started going proper crazy mental in the pool one day. I looked in to it and loads of folk had water issues with theirs, even whilst in warranty, and samsung didn't want to know. Wasn't a problem for me as I was due an upgrade anyway, but I won't be taking this one swimming anymore. Personally if the manufacturer advertises it as waterproof then they should guarantee it too, but it appears they don't. (edited)

What's with the no strap thing? Are they all sold like this and how do you get a suitable strap?
    MrSwitch's avatar

£219 with strap, so £50ish saving

Does no one do battery replacement for smart watches? My huawei is only giving me a week of battery life now after 2 years
    Whitey2048's avatar
A week, seriously, that's ages. Anyway, when I water damaged my S3 I looked on you tube and it looked pretty simple so I bought a kit for 15 quid and gave it a go, and it worked fine so I kept it for an extra few months before getting a new model. Search a how to for your model and see if you think you can do it. I'd have thought paying a phone shop or similar to do it might not be economical for a 2 year old watch.

Looking for a new watch now my Huawei watch 2 has died.
Got a pixel phone so was looking at the pixel watch but this seems tempting.
Anyone had experience with either? I'm a light user, so just basic fitness tracking and notifications (edited)
