The trade in cash back on this is ridiculously long winded & it has to be a Samsung vacuum

    What product can I recycle?
You can recycle a vacuum cleaner of any age, brand, model or condition, as long as you upload an image of your vacuum at an electrical recycling point.

Why people buy corgless lah? It waste of mungey and electric. Use dustpan and brush. More cheaper and not use electric. People so silly

Thought about that long and hard. £1200. £800 even with all the discounts/cashbacks. Plus no wet mop attachment (perhaps sold separately even if supported). Finally decided to go for the Jet Pro at £379 with nearly all of the bells & whistles

Anyone know which Dyson version this compares to in terms of suction? Plus has anyone had both to compare?

I had an old wired Dyson, and old style battery powered. Replaced recently with Samsung Bespoke Jet. Really pleased with Samsung! Good ergonomics, very easy to fully disassemble and clean. Plus mine has a "cleaning station", whish is brilliant.

Battery life - don't bother, to be honest, as mine came with 2 batteries. So even good full clean of the house takes no more 1.5 batteries. And quick daily clean - 10-15%

People dropping £400 on a handheld vacuum powered by batteries. What happened to good old £100 Henry that will last forever with even better suction…

You can claim upto £150 cashback, not £90 but this is only with trading in other samsung vaccum's. Great if someone has an old or unworking one but the trade in item needs to be from an approved retailer and you may need a vat reciept. Probably more hassle then its worth and very limited. Easier to just buy from perks at work for £269 with no trade in hassle.

Where does it say £150 cashback? I can only see £90 (edited)

Does it matter what kind of vaccumm cleaner it is? I have a really old hand held mini vacuum cleaner. I can't see in the T&C if that is accepted or not.

this is less than I paid for my Jet 75 with Cleaning Station

The trade in redemption is vague. Sent pics of my old vacuum in view of BandQ but they didn't accept the pics?
  12. actlike_youdontknow's avatar
Do I need to provide the proof of purchase for the trade in item or the one (samsung jet) I bought?

It says you have to take it yourself to the electrical recycling centre and make correct photos as per Tcs. Sounds like a lot of hassle to get additional £90.

The Reward will be sent via bank transfer in GBP/EUR within forty-five (45) days of Claim Validation to the bank account provided by the Participant in their Claim form

Under this Promotion, it is the Participant's responsibility to locate their nearest recycling centre and to upload a photo to the 'Track My Claim' page once their Claim has received Provisional Approval showing they have taken their vacuum cleaner there. The photo must show the entire vacuum cleaner in full view of an electronics recycling centre or container for the collection of it in the background so as to confirm it will be recycled in compliance with environmental considerations. The Participant may locate their nearest sustainable recycling centre by using the tool on the 'Track My Claim' page. Information about recyclers may also be found at: UK = recycleyourelectricals.org.uk/ele…me/ or at: ROI = mywaste.ie/was…or/.

This is HUKD. People will go to a lot more effort sometimes just to save a few pounds.

I have a an old handheld Beldray with dead battery that has been sat in the garage for the last couple of years. I have accumulated enough other junk ready for a tip run. This gives me the incentive to take it there (actually it was the Jet 75 Crampton & Moore deal for me).

There may well be a B&Q, tip or other electrical recycling centre so that the old vacuum can be dropped off on the way somewhere, meaning very little hassle.

This is back in stock online now but I can’t get the code to work. I’ve signed up to My John Lewis, am I missing a step? Or has the code expired?
