The SAPPHIRE PULSE AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series Graphics Cards run on SAPPHIRE’s distinguished Tri-XCooling Technology which work in tandem with the Intelligent Fan Control and Precision Fan Controlfeatures to keep temperatures low and fan noise low. Stability and reliability are key pillars of the PULSEAMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series Graphics Cards. The High TG Copper PCB design enables stable and reliableperformance resulting in a low temperature and low noise PCB component. The crucial Fuse Protectionfeature is built into the circuit of the external PCIe® power connector to keep the components safe. As partof SAPPHIRE’s motto of long-lasting components, Dual-Ball Bearing Fans are fitted to increase the lifespan ofthe Graphics Cards.

The SAPPHIRE NITRO+ products include the beneficial TriXX Software BIOS Switch allowing gamers tochange their BIOS mode through the TriXX software without manual adjustment. The ARGB Backplate andDual ARGB Light Bar can be controlled through TriXX with a multitude of colours and ARGB lighting modes,or by using the external ARGB bypass connector feature. Use TriXX Boost on all products to take gaming tothe next level by adjusting your resolution options. Adjust resolution through a customizable scale or fromadditional custom resolutions based on user input. Increase FPS by slightly decreasing resolution through theTriXX software, which is adjusted through the AMD Radeon™ Image Sharpening technology for an incredibleadvantage.

AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series graphics cards, featuring the ground-breaking AMD RDNA™ 3 architecture, deliver ultra-high frame rates in games at 4K max settings. Features include:AMD RDNA 3 Architecture - Featuring an advanced chiplet design, new compute units and second-generation AMD Infinity Cache technology, AMD RDNA 3 architecture delivers up to 54% more performanceper watt than the previous-generation AMD RDNA 2 architecture 1 . New compute units share resourcesbetween rendering, AI and raytracing to make the most effective use of each transistor for fast, moreefficient performance than the previous generation.

Chiplet Design - The world’s first gaming GPU with a chiplet design delivers up to 15% higher frequencies 2 atup to 54% better power efficiency 2 . It includes the new 5nm Graphics Compute Die (GCD) that provides thecore GPU functionality. It also includes up to six of the new 6nm Memory Cache Die (MCD).

Hardware Raytracing - Rearchitected AMD RDNA™ 3 compute units with second-generation raytracingtechnology deliver incredible performance and image quality.

DisplayPort™ 2.1 Support - The industry’s only high-end gaming graphics cards to support DisplayPort™ 2.1technology with UHBR 13.5, offering up to 54Gbps of display link bandwidth and enabling high-refresh 4K(up to 480Hz) or 8K (up to 165Hz) gaming on next-gen displays.

AMD FidelityFX™ Technology 3 – AMD FidelityFX technology is an open-source toolkit of visualenhancement effects for game developers available at AMD GPUOpen. It includes FidelityFX SuperResolution 2 4 , a cutting-edge temporal upscaling solution that boosts framerates in supported games anddelivers incredible image quality on a wide range of graphics products.

Optimized for Windows 11 - AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 series graphics cards enable the ultimate Windows 11gaming experience with optimized support for DirectX® 12 Ultimate, AutoHDR, and Direct Storage.

AMD FreeSync™ Technology 5 - Take full advantage of the AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series graphics cards bypairing with a certified AMD FreeSync™ technology-enabled monitor to enable an exceptional stutter andtear-free gaming experience with high refresh rates, low latency, and stunning HDR.

AMD Smart Technologies 6 - Exclusive to AMD platforms, AMD smart technologies enhance systemperformance by leveraging the synergies of AMD CPUs and GPUs to help accelerate the overall platformperformance.

Accelerate Your Work and Creativity - For professionals or hobbyists who push boundaries in the complexityof their work, unpack 8K textures and render complex 3D environments in real time with up to 24GB ofdedicated GDDR6 memory, with up to a 384-Bit memory bus.

The GPU is mounted on to the high-density 14 layer 2oz Copper PCB with a high TG temperature value PCB to match the power requirements of the GPU and memory and guarantee mechanical stability of the PCB during operation. In order to protect your card, the SAPPHIRE cards have fuse protection built into the circuit of the external PCI-E power connector to keep the components safe.

Fan speed is intelligently controlled to keep the GPU, memory, PWM IC and othercomponents as low as possible in temperature to balance performance, and fan noise. Standard industry fans may have up to 10% difference between fan rotation cycles (RPM). The Fan IC Control on SAPPHIRE graphics cards reduce differential at approximately 3%. This up to 70% improvement on accuracy ensures that cooling and noise performance of every graphics card is up to scratch. The high quality aluminum backplate is not just for styling. It also protects the components on the backside of the PCB and helps dissipate the heat from the PCB with a high performance thermal pad in between. These feature Dual Ball bearing fans, which have an approximately 85% longer lifespan than sleeve bearings in our tests. The improvements to the fan blades means the solution is up to 10% quieter than the previous generation. The Angular Velocity Fan Blade provides a double layer of downward air pressure which alongside the air pressure on the outer ring of the Axial fan, results in up to 44% more downward air pressure and up to 19% more airflow for a quieter and cooler operation when compared to the previous generations.

The 7900 XT is more value for money at £699.

With the strength of the pound and the falling price of this card in the USA, this is well overpriced. And this wretched outlet has the cheek to charge postage at this price level. AND RDNA3 is not good. And you still cannot do AI language models on AMD on Windows. What's not to love?

They could sell a 4090 for 50 pound and you'd say it was a bad deal

The 7900 XTX is a much better card than it gets credit for. I changed from my RTX 3090 i'd had since launch to a Red Devil 7900 XTX and it has been much better than I expected. I haven't lost any RT performance from the 3090 and i've gained a ton of rasterisation performance. Undervolted this card performs way better than the reviews suggest. Also the 99% min FPS on this card are better than it's Nvidia rivals, giving a smoother gaming experience.

People moaning about GPU prices, this is the same price as the 1080Ti was on launch (inflation adjusted)
But you get a ton of new features. 4k high refresh gaming, very capable ray tracing, huge amounts of power...It's a great thing to get much better tech for the same price.

I bought an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro back in 2001 for £300. That was the absolute best graphics card money could buy. Adjusted for inflation, that's about £625.
Given the number of graphics cards sold this year is massively more than in 2002 and production has been improved massively to make products more profitable, even at £900 this is a massive rip off.

£600 for the top of the line gpu would still be making massive profits for AMD or Nvidia.
    jungleboy123's avatar
maybe. £600 for either a 7900xtx or 4090 and i would jump on either straight away. I suspect lots of people wuld too, but then the markup/margin for the other cards would be small.

I'm suer they are making insane profits at these prices.

Also a card from 2001 probably wouldnt last long. Today not much % increase between each gen. (edited)

I feel like I’d be very tempted at £825.
    I find £899 troubling psychologically!

This is a good deal as this was £1049 2-3 months ago. Same model and same retailer. So a £250 discount not to be sniffed at.

can’t believe you keep voting this deal cold. It’s a £250 discount over original selling price. Lol. I wonder when you will give a deal heat (edited)

    It can do ray tracing.

One thing that I've wondered and never seen benchmarked is everyone seems to bench with RT set to ultra. How does it do at medium? (edited)
