Initially released in Japan in 1993, Secret of Mana took the world by storm with its innovative real-time battle system and gorgeously rendered world.

One of the most memorable elements of the Mana series is the Ring Command menu system. With the single press of a button, a ring-shaped menu appears on the screen, where players can use items, change weapons, and do a variety of other actions without needing to switch screens.
This Ring Command menu system for which the Mana series is so well known was first introduced in Secret of Mana and has since appeared in most games in the series.
Play as Randi and his two companions, Primm and Popoi, as they adventure all around the world. At the center of our epic story is the mystical power of Mana. There is one force in the universe that keeps good and evil in per- fect balance. It is called the tree of Mana. But a magic sword has tricked a young warrior into upsetting this balance, spreading evil throughout the land.

sorted byI literally broke my piggy bank to recover all the coins accumulated since my childhood and be able to add them to my brother's modest contribution to have the full amount to buy the game in its rigid blister with the strategy guide inside of it.
Here in France the book was included with every copy of the game, as for Super Metroid, or as these 3 games for example:
We bought Secret of Mana in secret, my bro and I, at a "Mammouth" hypermarket (this stores chain has disappeared since a very long time) in December 1994, while our mother was adding the products to the trolley. She had the habit of leaving us in the comics section.
Unless you grew up only with touchscreen controls (in which case v you certainly b wouldn't remember the Mana games anyway) they always feel clunky unreliable and just plain wrong compared to physical controls.
The vinyl album is already ordered, here (edited)
