I had my heart set on the Bissell Proheat 2x Revolution Carpet Cleaner instead of the Vax. For the past month the Shark has been popping up on my social media feeds, complimenting it's excelled performance. Does anyone have any real life comparisons between the two?

From reviews shark is ok. No good for woollen carpets because it strips a lot of fluff. Its small dirty water capacity means a lot of water changes. Leaves carpets clean, dries fairly well. It's really more of a spot cleaner than for a whole room (anything larger than. 4m x3m)

Just got a refurbished one off the Shark eBay store and it's like brand new. Worked out at £151 with the current 20% codes.

You only get a 1 year guarantee with refurbishment. There is 5 years normally.
I've had 2 Vax refurbished cleaners break down within 2 years. I would personally not buy refurbished again.
