    That's a pretty decent price. The lens is of course dated in terms of its optics and autofocus but it will do someone a lot better than a kit zoom lens.

    I bought it last week. dont listen to the hate. it is a great lens. I am using on a sony a7r3 and the autofocus is fine. corner to corner sharpness from f4. you will have to spend 3...4 times more to get marginal better results.

    True, apart from the noisy motor it's decent lens for the money, it's certainly sharper wide open than my old Canon EF 50mm 1.8.
