Gotta admit I throw up in my mouth a little when I hear the term "The Skywalker Saga". It means that it includes the dreadful Disney stuff.

You could do with adding Blu-ray into the description.

I want to buy this, but I am wondering whether it could get cheaper... I might hold out to Black Friday, then get this if I don't see it cheaper on the day. When does the code expire?

Edit: OK, that was easier than expected, a quick Amazon search suggests they've already put it to £48 for Black Friday. (edited)

Just looking at the 4k version on Amazon and its £200. Is there that much of a difference between bluray and 4k? (edited)

Yeh, the Disney stuff is good as well. People have rose-tinted glasses especially when it comes to ANH.

Rose-tinted glasses or not doesn't somehow make Disney's fanfiction any good.

No, box office reciepts are a pretty good judge. It is interesting to hear fan fiction used derogatarily.

As if the entire Star Wars canon is not one giant fan fiction and SW fans being some of the most toxic. I mean, look at the tantrums for TLJ have the audacity to not repeat every Star Wars trope ever that fans have come to expect.

Box office was bound to be good with this much marketing and hype surrounding it. There's no correlation between box office performance and quality of film. You couldn't turn a corner without seeing Rey's face plastered somewhere. Of course people would watch it. RotS barely hit the billion mark though, which is a 50% decrease over their initial box office sales with TFA. This doesn't show waning interest to you?

Don't get me wrong, if you enjoyed them, good for you, but I hold Star Wars to a much higher regard than this. Also, concerning fanfiction, a lot of the Extended Universe stuff was far better than this Disney trilogy. I'm not really using the word fanfiction in a derogatory manner, it's just a fact - if it's not Lucas, it's fanfiction. (edited)
