Noisy, I had to box and soundproof mine
but the pressure of the hot water was wonderful, I tapped mine in off the emersion as the hot press quietest place for it. (edited)

Out of interest (if anybody knows) we currently have a shower pump with hot and cold, but we are getting a combi boiler next year.

Would you usually just cap off the hot water sides on the pump and just use the other cold feed for the shower or is it best to remove the cold water tank totally and use mains water for the cold side of the shower (hot water coming directly from the boiler)?

    Thanks Mark.

I believe you would normally lose the cold water tank completely, certainly that's what happened when I switched to Combi in previous property, all tanks gone.
