Enhanced contrast, colours and details

The latest standard for 4K UHD content is High Dynamic Range. It expands the range of both contrast and colours significantly. HDR accurately reproduces light and dark shades with precise colours and dazzling images in detail.

In 2021 TCL TV’s, 4K HDR comes with Dolby Vision in order to experience brighter brights, darker darks and with subtle details preserved.

Brighter brights, deeper darks and a wider range of colours

It brings entertainment to life with dramatic imaging, incredible brightness, colour, contrast, detail and dimensionality. I have this currently as money was tight when I moved into my new flat a few months ago and would have preferred an LG NanoCell TV.

    Owned for 6 months.

Outstanding TV for the price. Picture and sound is very good and love the Roku OS. Although admittedly I do use my Apple TV box more.

    5/5 for value
    4/5 for sound
    4/5 for picture quality
5/5 for the speed of operation while using the built-in OS

You will experience colours fade/wash out when viewing the screen from extreme angles.

    Still definitely recommend for £300.

Audiophiles may want to consider a soundbar but I personally have no issue with the sound. A good amount of bass and no distortion from what I can hear from any audio source. With that said, true audiophiles will likely have a higher budget for an OLED and high end soundbar.

*Oops, after checking the model number I've realised my TV is the very slightly older 620K not 630K in the deal. I'll still keep this comment here as it will still likely influence someone's decision to purchase as my model will only be slightly different. (edited)

My 6 year old Costco Vestel/Toshiba 55" has just died. Would this be a good replacement ?
    fishmaster's avatar
Yes this is a Chinese TV running Roku OS it's almost certainly better than the TV you had that died.

I had a TCL with a 5 year warranty. Issue I found was that OS (android in my case) was so slow due to underpowered processors and RAM. This got worse over time as it is likely that over time the TV main board will result in bulging capacitors, etc. The technician that came to look at my TV said that slowing down of software was a common issue on TCLs and they often try to change the main boards when this occurs. Unfortunate, as picture and sound on TV was great. In the end my TV got written off, got a Hisense now. The above is my experience and may not be indicative of the overall TCL experience..... Hey, does anyone know just how much better the Qled C630 would actually be?

I'm trying to decide what TV to get after mine was blown by lightning but so many conflicting reviews & so confusing!

Also...how long would you say these tv's last now? Had my last one over 10 yrs but it seems tv's don't last that long now...

Exactly the same, just bought one of these for my mum, her 'old' (just 1 month over 3 years) sharp one just died. I had the whole 'my old ones lasted years and years' so true though.

I can't speak for TCL but I can't recommend Roku TVs highly enough. I have a Hisense Roku and the OS is absolutely brilliant.
