Been this price since last year according to the Camels.

If it hits a fiver I'll bite - might have to wait a while for that though...

I've been thinking of getting a smart bulb for my happway for a while. Plan was to link it to my doorbell so that when it detects motion at the doorbell, the light comes on. Presumably to do that the light switch needs to permanently be in the 'on' position and the bulb controls the light on/off at the bulb? Question then though, is if I walk into the hallway and the bulb is off, presumably I can't make the light come on without talking to my Alexa or whipping my phone out?

(Not sure if I've explained that too well).

You'll probably want to use a motion detector to trigger the light coming on and a lack of motion after a period to turn it off again. I imagine there are videos explaining how to do that. There is a Tapo motion sensor - I've not got around to setting mine up yet.
